Yesterday I attacked pa's new winter car with a pop riveter.
He's bought a '68 Land Rover Series IIA. The removable hard top has a hinged stay for the tailgate and the clip that it resides in was knackered and letting it clatter around while he's driving, so we riveted a new one on. I've also made some footwell mats out of old carpet and underlay (more as insulation and sound-deadening than anything else), replaced the drivers side wing mirror with a larger one, and I'm now plotting the replacement of the voltmeter (non-working) and ammeter (fire hazard) panel with one that has just a voltmeter along with a 12v lighter socket and powered USB ports.

Makes me miss mine
