** Star Wars Episode VII - SPOILERS WITHIN **

then the good seats are taken - L (unless I wait until its a lot less busy, box office takings are still ticking over quite well)

We booked in advance, could try that if you can live with the annoying booking fee's, in our case it was worth it not to see the awful clash of clans advert again...

One thing I forgot about above - Han and Chewie have been together for 40+ years and yet Han has never fired the bowcaster or apparently seen it's effect before which is why he looks so impressed with it's power during his freighter escape, hmmmm :D

It was just one of the inexplicable things they added in to the movie, the reason being that they simply added stuff like this to account for the many young people who they think won't have seen the original trilogy. There is no other reason why they would have added such random cheesy things.

He's not on about Kylo, he's on about the 4 stormstroopers shot seconds after Kylo is shot who don't fly through the air like the earlier stormtroopers did.

yeah exactly.

Also wondered about that, maybe old han's suffering a bit of memory loss lol. The 30 years inbetween haven't been kind on him :( loses his woman, his kid, his spaceship, and then his memory too.

He also bleeds very little even after aggravating his bowcaster wound. There is a theory making rounds on the interwebs that Kylo at this stage of his life is actually not fully biological, in similar to Vader fashion. One of the "proofs" is a delicate whooshing sound effect following his step in quiet scenes, but also speculated weight of his gear - his helmet for example appears to be extremely heavy - for those that are about to see it again - take notice during Han scene, after lengthy exchange of words, before pulling out his lightsaber and presenting it to Han Kylo throws his helmet to the ground. The shot is arranged specifically to show the viewer how the helmet lands flat with a heavy thud onto the metal floor as if it was a lump of brass.

In the pre episode 7 canon bowcaster's magnetic recoil was too strong for anyone under Wookie's 2.5 meters in height and 150kg of weight to handle without harming themselves. Obviously now it's one of those things that were discarded from canon.

It's a shame really, the amount of small niggly things I didn't even think about the first time I saw it that are now popping up on a 2nd watching.

Were they? I know they were weapons in games usable by humans, I can't remember what level of canon Jedi Knight was though.

Ah....then I go back to "it's just a movie" argument. :D

its not just a movie, its a yogurt, bottled water, a box of tissues dammit!

Its important.

lol actually I felt sorry for a guy in the supermarket yesterday who's young kids were nagging him to buy some yogurt that had star wars branding, the way he said "but its £1.30, for one yogurt?" was hilarious.

Bit disappointed with the new Starwars film today , still think the original is the best movie from 1977

Also i did not like the ending

Agree with you 100 % the 3 originals are always the best

Killing Han Solo done it for me , i almost walked out

Don`t think i will be watching any more Starwars films after this one , so disappointed to be honest , you cannot beat the original 3 films

So, in your opinion, what should the story have been in order for it to be good?

Also, stop putting spaces before commas.

After a second viewing I stand-by my initial thoughts, however a few more bits stood out, made sense or annoyed me.

1. Once you know it's Daniel Craig that releases Rey his voice is instantly recognisable, but I had no clue the first time.

2. I thought Carrie Fisher's acting pretty poor on the first viewing. Now I can thats she's just botox'd up to the max, her top lip never moves once in any scene, it's amazing she could even talk.

.

Amazed it took a second viewing to realise this:D

I've been telling you lot all along it was Daniel Craig and no one bought it for a second.

Stop feeding the Disney machine with multiple viewings its crazy!

Glutton for punishment and being financially raped at will!

That makes little sense with the ease with which he takes it off and keeps it off. The only mechanics that would make sense would be augmented vision and self-contained breathing capabilities, but would that need a 10KG helmet?

I find it highly doubtful he is anything approaching significantly augmetic at this point.

I think it's fairly certain this is going to be the highest grossing film of all time. Given that, what incentive is there for them to do anything original for the next film?

What are the odds of them just remaking ESB for Ep8? The money men are going to want more of these kind of returns, and if they feel playing safe is the best strategy...

What's fuelling this speculation is 2013 concept art for TFA which featured early rendition of Ren's costume with mechanical hand and partial face augmentation holding Vader's helmet. Can't post picture of the art due to copyrights, but it's June 2013 page in "The Art of Star Wars: The Force Awakens" and if you google 'Kylo Ren concept art', it should be among the first five image results.

Yeah

"don't **** with the formula "

I am literally flummoxed why anyone would want to see this movie more than twice.

I can understand a second viewing to an extent...But three times is just odd human behaviour :p

Then that would potentially only be in the next film, because clearly in FA the helmet was not for this purpose.

And concept it concept art, it is an idea (from over 2 years ago in this instance, no less) that gets changed.

It could be him in that flashback/forward with R2, Rey did tear him a new one and we don't know the exact damage so a lost limb is possible and I remember his face had a massive black mark from the lightsaber.

Scripts do get changed, Poe was meant to die at the tie fighter crash but when they cast Isaac they changed it and made him come back for the 3rd Act.

I agree it could happen in the next movies, but I just meant that in FA it's clearly not the case for him having his helmet.
