How long does it take you to get ready in the morning?

My alarm is set for 0630 but it's very common I wake up around 0620. I procrastinate on my phone for 5 to 10mins then get up and do the bathroom routine. Have a look around the early morning internet, grab my prepared night before food and I'm out the door at 0655 and I arrive at work between 0715/0720 for an 0730 start.

So you shower before you get into bed and when you wake up in the morning? Why?

I don't usually shower before I go to bed, it depends on the kind of day I've had at work. (Part of my job involves pretty filthy work at times when on nights, so I won't get into bed covered in visible dirt)

I much prefer to be clean when I put on clean clothes. A bed will always be full of dry sweat and dead skin no matter how many times you shower beforehand. You will not be clean when you get out of bed, but I guess that depends on an individuals definition of clean.

This is the whole 'sitting in a bath means you are sitting in dirty water' drama again, how dirty do you honestly expect to be when you wake up?

If you always get into bed after having a shower, you aren't going to wake up dirty and if people do have a shower before bed and then sleep for 8 hours and think they need a shower again when they wake up, they are taking it way over the top. :p

8 hours worth of arm pit sweat means you need a shower imo.

But to answer the thread, about an hour but that includes a 20 minute poo, 10 minute shower & 15 minute dog walkies.

About an hour.

I like to get up, jump in the shower and get dressed and ready. Then use my remaining time to sit on the throne and have a good poop.

Alarm 6:50, get up at 7:30 - brush teeth, shower and out for 8:25 and at my desk for 8:50am.

I am lucky as I can walk to work in central London within 25 minutes.

You have to shower in the morning really. As said its not because you're dirty, but you will sweat and get warm during the night and that can all be smelled (?) on you. It'll be a stale warm smell, whether you sweat or not. Don't forget all the farts in the night too, that'll stick to you for 8hrs and then 15hrs after that during the day. Nice.

My girlfriend had a coworker that stunk of BO. They approached him about it and he said he showered at night. It just doesn't work. Sorry!

Dirty enough not to want to put on clean clothes. The bed I don't really care about. I'll change the sheets yes, like any normal person would but I just know that I don't feel as clean after getting out of bed as I do after a shower.

I agree, a shower before and after is probably overkill (depending on circumstances as I mentioned earlier), but I guess my definition of clean is different to yours. Greasy skin, covered in stale sweat and dead skin cells that I've shed overnight after wallowing in my own farts under the duvet for 8 hours, is not clean as far as I'm concerned.

No you don't, not when you go to work and sweat and get dirty anyway. Different for office staff.

I disagree, and I don't only work in an office.

There are people who stink when they turn up for work, and there are people who stink after a hard nights/days graft. One is acceptable, the other is not.

Get ready for what?

My alarm is set for 0745 most days (Mon - Sun). I work from home.

If I need to go to go to the office; it's either 0530 or 0545 depending on office. I take 30 minutes max to wake-up, wash, dress and leave. Thankfully the need for this is very seldom.
