***** The Official Division Thread *****

to be honest, dark zone isn't where the best gear is anyway. Thats the phoenix credit vendors and the blueprints.

to get phoenix credits you grind the dailies and the challenge modes. After that, the only thing worth getting in the dark zone is crafting materials and division tech which you don't drop.

If you want high ends, they just drop enough to make it worthwhile grinding for them in the dark zone. Your time is better spent elsewhere.

Silly really how once you get to DZ Rank 50 - there is zero point buying anything from the vendors that offer rank 30 blueprints for DZ credits as you want the level 31 blueprints for Phoenix credits. The level 30 stuff should have a lower requirement than DZ50 imo.

Farming the DZ bosses in a group of 4 is pretty fun, I got nothing of worth dropped apart from the Phoenix credits. They soon mounted up though as I wasn't really thinking about them at the time.

I do Solo the lower area and it's not too bad imo, just got to keep an eye out and always have an escape route, if things go south head that way and pop your sig.

Had a couple of fun runs at the dailies yesterday. Joined a group taking on the LMB in the UN mission which consisted of a 26, a 27 and a level 30 who clearly didn't understand that attempting to solo three shotgunners = insta death.

Ended up soloing most of the core fights as the 26/27 died to the first hail of bullets and the 30 was dead at the enemies feet..... :o

Got a new Socom M1A with Armour destruction (forgot the perk name) and increased stability. Got to love the "DPS" numbers in this game though. The new M1A is, on paper, 20k lower on DPS than my First Wave M1A... In game it hits for 4k more to the body, 12k more to the head and roughly 30k more to the head against armoured enemies.. *hmmm*

Its DPS is 20k lower thanks to a lower accuracy rating - not that I can tell a sodding bit of difference using either mind..

Is there any point clearing the remaining side missions and encounters once max level and BoO at 100%?

No not really as they are just spare credits for each wing. But I cleared all mine off as it cleans the map up.

I just need to get all the collectibles ie phone recordings etc.

Well i've been locked out of the game due to the backpack bug since the 26th of last month... and like thousands of other people we have to wait until the 12th to see what ubisoft/massive do when the fix comes out... and what compensation we'll get.

I ended up having to create a new user on my ps4 and a new uplay account.. got to level 30 yesterday. Went to see what i can get from the special vendors and remembered that ive only got 26 phoenix credits..

i had nearly 1000 on my locked account and my high ends..

Anyone got the platinum trophy yet? It seems really easy, though picking up all the phone recordings is pretty soul destroying. Halfway through them now with a few drones, manuals etc. Then just some DZ stuff and I'm done.

I'm not usually fussed with trophys but I had around 82% just by playing normally.

I've almost got the platinum, just missing the extract from every DZ location and 20 rogue kills. Those will come in time, I haven't been actively trying to get them as I figured I'll get them eventually.

I've been mostly solo in the DZ so run if I see a rogue :p I've been working from home loads recently so just grabbed all the collectibles here and there in between working :p

Turbo Nutter on here has.

I'm currently working my way through all the intel like phone calls, manuals, drones etc.. I've done everything else.

Here's my guy at the mo:

Is there much I can do other than run challenging and DZ and hope for decent drops?

I still have the firearms mod blueprint to get but other than that nothing seems like it's much of an upgrade.

I don't really fancy grinding to DZ 50 (at 31 at the mo).

Well you can grind out challenge missions / DZ in order to either gets drops / craft "Best in slot" armour / weapons but beyond that there isn't really much to do.

All depends how much you are willing to put up with the grind tbh.

I am not willing to put in that grind (especially DT, **** that!) so I will settle for good enough to enjoy the end game rather than Best in Slot for everything.

I just want to be geared enough for incursions at the moment, I'm not worried about BiS.

I'm happy to run the dailies and some DZ for fun but I don't want to grind as such unless I absolutely need to to be ready for incursions.

BTW, I went to add you the other day and realised we were already friends. Should be on tonight for dailies if you're on. :)

On my 9th RC daily group.......... Not made it past the first room yet.

The amount of people that just run into the room thinking they are playing COD........

Yes there are parts that you do have to charge and flank but not when there is shotgunners lol

Finally hit level 30 lol I'm guessing my 49Hours+ would be considered taking my time!

I've been strict clearing every area before moving on, including all Intel. 49 hours entertainment for £40, can't grumble with that.

Also clearing each area as I go. Level 24.

I generally prefer the questing and levelling in these games and get bored really quickly at end game. We'll see how it goes.

Sorry about not joining last night. Everytime I tried you must have been in a match made group (possibly the same the other way around as well... good ole timing!).

Got my first challenge mode completed last night. I was a little concerned going in that I wouldn't be able to do enough damage / would die to the first enemy but I had no issues.

Took an age to actually get into a game where I wasn't either kicked immediately or the game wasn't being random.

I finally moved forwards in terms of DPS without affecting my stamina which is nice.

Ran the power plant daily afterwards and it was a right laugh. The group I was running with clearly just wanted to have fun. I don't think there was a second where something wasn't on fire / exploding / stunned / being smashed in the face with the butt of the gun. We popped the damage reduction skill at the end and killed the boss with a combination of sticky nades and melee... it was hilarious! :D

Sounds similar to the Event Centre, even on challenging there's so many choke points you can just massacre groups of enemies using crowd control and spraying gunfire. It's good fun :)
