*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

I know this isn't the best place to post this, but I mainly want to know what current PS4 owners think. The following poll is a 'what if' scenario, what the poll is suggesting is not actually confirmed to be true, I'd think it would be interesting to know what PS4 players would think if this were to be the case.

Because there's a dedicated thread for it, may I direct all discussion of what I've just posted over to https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18723446

I'd not have posted it to this thread, if I didn't value the thoughts of the average PS4 user. Enjoy

I got myself The Witcher 3 from the Easter sale. £24.99. I'd call that a bargain, even cheaper than Amazon's price.

Yeah I did the same. I figured I needed something to tie me over until DS3/Unchartered 4, but didn't really consider the fact it's obviously an 80hr kinda game! Not played the previous 2 so found it a bit daunting at first but feel like i'm starting to get to grips with it

So my launch ps4 disc drive had finally given up its been acting up for awhile last week wouldnt always take a disc now it wont eject them it trys but it just grinds and makes horrible noises so i sense disc will be borked, anyway i cant afford a new ps4 and a shop repairs wants 130 which is half price of a new one. Has any one here replaced drive themselves if so was it easy? And are the drives paired to the board like on ps3

Yes, they are paired by the looks of it but according the ifixit link you can swap the drive motherboard over and it'll be good.

Hi all,
Made the move to a console and got a PS4. Only played GTA V so far but got The Division too. It is all a bit weird but will settle into it pretty quick.

80 is quick compared to many people. Depends how much you engage with Gwent and the side quests.

Anyone using a PlayStation TV to stream PS4 games? Is it worth picking up a second PS4 or is the TV fine with it? Mainly for online gaming so not sure if there is any/much lag using a wired connection.

If it's something you'd be using regularly it's probably better to get the PS4. Streaming from the PSTV is fine for casually playing slow paced games, but it isn't perfect and there is input lag which makes attempting any multiplayer game frustrating.

not very good for anything other than strategy games. My Vita does streaming better wirelessly than my wired pstv. get a ps4
