Is 3 days of zero contact with someone you are seeing acceptable?

My late mother always said women want what they can't have, dislike over attentive males, and playing a little hard to get is often more appealing to them than someone who ties himself to their apron strings, physically or electronically. Personal and anecdotal experiences have proved her quite correct! The guy's doing well, seems he has this girl's rapt attention :)

Maybe he bought Rocket League on Steam?..

The latter is the more likely explanation.

Isn't all that equally true for males, though?

She is 100% correct! A very wise and honest woman.

Sadly many beta males will take anything, clingy, crai crai, whales ect and have no idea why another male would return video tapes for 3 days.

For the record, he's 29 and she's 33, so it's not silly teenager stuff either.

No, just seems like grown adults acting like silly teenagers. Three days is nothing, hell they've only been seeing each other for three months. I doubt he even thinks it serious yet and she seems to be slightly clingy.

Considering in this day and age you can send a text message in 30 seconds asking how someone is then yeah it's probably a bit strange

I missed the point but why didn't she text him or ICQ whatever kids use these days...

Being 33 she's realised she has left it a bit late and her fertility has falling off the cliff, she doesn't have time for 3 days of returning video tapes or 1 week long showers, now her crai crai is showing and will scare off the guy.

I don't think wanting to chat with somebody you are in a relationship with more than once in a 3 day period is 'needy'.

Why bother if contact with them means that little?

Captain Cook spent many years away from his family. I am sure that every moment he spent with them was very special indeed.

How long have you fancied your housemate for?

This, being concerned about such a trivial matter in her relationship is a bit suspect. One might think the OP is in the friendzone here. :D

OP, I wouldn't worry about it - she might be a bit needy or he might have gone off her a bit. If it was she's texted him with something requiring an answer and he's ignored her for three days then that might be a bit different but simply not texting for a few days shouldn't be a drama. Either way if you were going to smash that pasty so to speak you'd have done so already.

But it isn't like it is every three days rather this three day period is clearly an exception to the norm else she wouldn't be pondering it. So on the flip side when you're normally regularly in contact with someone a single three days where you've been a bit busy shouldn't necessarily be a drama.

There is perhaps some truth in this

Also relationships tend to work better with the woman a few years you get than the man. The divorce rate is lower with a younger woman relative to same age couples and there is a greater divorce rate when it comes to older women.

There is always some truth in my madness!

I think OP might have a chance, now his interest man has vanished, she will try to bounce back (one door closes, another door opens platitude) and fails again for the same reasons, she will take OP's seed and if she still can get pregnant the traditional way, she will bill OP for child payments.

They ended it, turns out he still has some stuff to deal with in terms of his ex from a year ago. Cliched "it's not you, it's me" as it may be, at least she has closure.
