Sadly yes. There was a recent poll showing that higher educated people are for staying in while people with only GCSE's are vastly for out.

It was some crazy ratio of 70% for in, people who have had a university degree and 60% for out with GCSE's.

Not really surprising if you ask me.

Stands to reason. The university educated are more likely to have lives and careers that are not impacted by mass immigration and lowering of wages, like blue collar manual workers are. Many of them prosper from the EU for exactly these reasons. Obvious most of them would want to stay in.

Maybe the primary school syllabus should be decided by the kids in class via vote rather than a council focusing on improving education.

Are you saying the remain camp are grown ups who know what's best for the country, and any brexit supporters are kids who are stupid?

Nope, i am suggesting that in some cases, this being one, the voter is not adequately educated to make a decision like this.

Are you looking to take offence?

True you can take that point of view. You can also reason that higher educated people tend to be more smarter and keep up to date with various issues better than blue collar manual workers.

Btw you can find the source in this thread. Some interesting results but not that surprising in the poll.

I would say the advantages of the eu are catered more to the industries of those who went through higher education and there is an overall advantage of staying in over going out.

Who do you think should make the decision specifically?

If i feel that i as a remainer and you as a brexiter are not qualified to make the decision, it stands to reason that i don't know who is best to make the decision. Though if it has to be left to a vote, i will vote in, as i feel this is better than out.

Although i admit i am not qualified enough to decide, i feel i am more qualified than most, as everyone does with their own personal political beliefs.

So you'd rather the Government make the decision for us and for the people to not have any say? I presume you're only saying this as they happen to agree with you.....

Terrible you think so lowly of your countrymen. I am of the opinion that the average person is not qualified to understand the complexity of EU politics or economics and so letting everyone have a say may be fair in procedure but produce an unfair and unwanted result in practice

That's why we've got our leaflet mate, well, till I empty the bin anyway.

Make sure you choose the recycle bin, we aren't out of the EU just yet! ;)

I expect i will be faced with some disgruntled voters when i go to vote in and they are there outside asking which way i will vote, being someone who is clearly not English, but hey ho, let it bother them :)

Difference being that gets spent in Britain and thus ultimately ends up back in the tax system anyway and not wired back home and going straight out of our economy.

That is literally wealth transferring out of Britain and into Poland, Hungary and Romania regardless of the fact they spend some of it here.

If you're worried about that you'd better not check the UK's current account deficit.

One thing for sure, Brexit has cost me money as a result of the reduced value of sterling, therefore everyone vote stay please so I can spend less money on holiday. Thanks :p

You are a dull, uninspiring, broken record.

:(

You've ignored everything everyone's posted that doesn't fit with your agenda up until now, why should anyone bother?

I'd have thought those in favour of the EU would have wanted to demonstrate their love for the institution and how Britain is stronger by trading its sovereignty for membership.
