Audi owners in here!

For the guy looking at the RS3 I hope you got a move on. Order book closed now and the configurator has gone from the Audi site as well this week. Hopefully there will be numbers from Audi as to how many were made.

Likelihood is that it's gone until the facelift is ready, you'd be mad to buy a prefacelift A3 platform car at the moment.

We already know that there is an RS3 saloon coming.

The dealership has had my S1 for 2 weeks, and there's still no ETA for the haldex pump that is allegedly being shipped from Germany. Whilst the A4 they've lent me is grand, I had to miss an advanced driving day today so I'm £220 out of pocket.

The service advisor is going to submit a claim to Audi UK for the advanced driving day, but there's no guarantee that it'll be accepted.

Meh. Feeling more than a little annoyed that Audi have had my car for a total of 6 weeks out of the 60 weeks I've owned it.

That's poor, when the Haldex on mine failed (the day before the warranty expired!) they had it replaced inside 3 days.

The dealership has been sent 3 haldex pumps from the warehouse in the UK, but they're not the new revision so they've had to request one from Audi Germany. I suspect that Audi are now shipping a pallet load of them since my issue has highlighted a problem with their stock in the UK.

great performance - But 55k for a small coupe , there's a lot you can buy for that kind of cash.

Had a couple of calls off Audi over the past week, pestering me to get my aircon serviced.
Having Googled it, it would appear VAG suggest 2 years, compared to most manufacturers quoting 3 years. It's a 2 year old A4, barely use the climate control tbh but was wondering if anyone has any idea what they charge for a service on it. I presume there is a difference between "service" and "re-gassing".

May be coincidence but after a chat with my mate at work he said leave it on for a couple of days, I then noticed a slight vibration on lifting clutch when pulling away in first gear only, when changing through the other gears, there is nothing at all. Just wondering if it's anything to do with the aircon pump/motor or not.

You don't use the climate control? I can't get my head around that. You are happy to sit in whatever temperature?
TBF, my experience of climate control in Audis hasn't been great. My A6 always blows cold air out of the middle vents on long journeys, regardless of the temp I have set. Annoying. So I tend to swap between 20.5C and 21.5C quite a lot. This defies the point of CC but there you go.

In rain I sometimes set the fan speed and vents manually as I don't want the windscreen blower on full and auto doesn't stop the side windows from misting up.

If your windows still mist up in the rain with it set to auto, perhaps your air conditioning isn't working as effectively as it could? Low (or no) gas perhaps. I've never seen the windows mist up in the rain in any car with climate control (which was being used properly with the AC not disabled) that I've ever been in.

They only fog up properly in the rear, probably because I have the sunblinds in. AC blows nice and cold so I don't think it's low on gas. Filters have been changed in service recently.
The front ones have a tiny patch near the mirror, although I often confuse the dirty windows in that area for misted up windows :o

My main gripe is that it doesn't blow hot air at you, even if you set the middle vents to blow HOT air through the on-board settings, unlike BMWs with the scroll wheel. It's either nothing or cold

Mine's 3 years old and hasn't had an "aircon service". Neither have I been pestered to have one, or even recommended one when it goes in for regular servicing.
