Yeah my wife (with us having little ones) was really not impressed by the Ramsay scene with the kid.

I'm surprised there isn't more SJW outcry... he just fed a body confident 'real' woman + new born baby to a pack of hounds....

I mean he previously cut a guys **** off after torturing him, hunted women for fun, killed various people.... yet the big outcry isn't over any of that - it was simply when he had that sex/rape scene with his new bride Sansa on her wedding night - which was kind of the done thing on wedding nights.

Have to wonder how the Freys will react to Roose's wife and son being killed.

They will only hear what they have been told, Bolton killed by his enemies, poisoned.
I doubt much truth will spill out, as people tend not to wish to cross Ramsey.

If anything it might harden the Frays and the Karstarks to the Bolton side of matters. Although he mentioned the Umbars and the Manderleys in this most recent episode, I would like to see them, as they would more likely rally to a Stark, any actual Stark than Ramsey Psychodoggielover.

Which wasn't rape anyway as a husband can not rape his wife under Westeros law. The wife is his property to do with as he pleases and she has no right to refuse him.

(spoiler based on preview of next episode)

if you watch the preview of episode three there is a clip of Umber banners then a scene where a northerner(presumably an Umber) says something to Ramsey about bringing a gift for him

well yes, though people had this same discussion after the episode and it took a page or two :)

Sansa kind of knew what she was getting into and what would happen on her wedding night... the whole bedding ceremony for GoT weddings is pretty dodgy anyway, we caught a glimpse of it in the TV series in the Red Wedding where they take the happy couple off but (and this isn't really a spoiler or anything but just mentioning for context) in the books it seems basically male guests essentially grope undress the bride and vice versa with the groom in GoT weddings.

I'm expecting the gift for Ramsay to be Rickon for some reason. Would that be farfetched?

Why doesn't Ser Jorah just cut his arm off? He doesn't look to pleased when he looks at his infection so why not, I don't think he wants to die.?

Because cutting the greyscale infected limb off doesn't guarantee survival.

The gift of vengeance I hope.
They better not be offering Rickon, in the books the Umbers, although reluctantly split in allegiance, are pretty much the only Stark loyal northern house left other than Mormont and maybe the Manderleys (in secret)

(based on preview and *that* well known fan theory)
there is also House Reed, they've only appeared so far in the form of Jojen and Meera Reed helping Bran Stark north of the wall and a mention in the TV show of their crannogmen or bog devils attacking the Iron Born with poison darts/arrows when they were occupying Moat Cailin... but they must make more of an appearance soon - Jojen and Meera's dad Howland Reed was present at the tower and is the only living person with knowledge of what happened there still alive, so the only person at the moment who could confirm who Jon Snow's real parents are

going on the previews of next week's episode we'll probably, via Bran's visions back in time, see the young Howland Reed at the tower so maybe Bran will then need the help of Meera Reed to travel back south of the wall to the neck in order to find him.

Fantastic episode, 2 scenes stood out for me, Tyrions bit (he is just pure awesome) and Sir Davos with Mellisandre, felt mutual respect for each other etc.

question though.

Were we supposed to know who it was who pushed papa Grejoy?

Am I right in remembering it was Theons sister that sent him back to Ramsay? if that's the case Theon going home could get interesting...

^^^ this...

at best Tywin maybe suspects but it is highly unlikely he'd have known else Tyrion would not have survived to adulthood

"Since I can't prove you are not mine" - From the S3E1 Lanister short on youtube. That scene does seem to say a lot about his parentage.

...I don't think so? But that's probably book talk anyhow so let's keep using the spoiler tags where needed :)

I haven't read any of the books. Only watched the tv series.

When he first escaped who took him back in the end? I'm sure he was double crossed by somebody. I have this memory of his sister basically setting the whole rescue scene up to look like she loved him, but in fact didn't want him to compete against her for heir.

Could be totally wrong though as it was a couple of series back.

nope, she went to rescue him and was confronted by Ramsey in the kennels... he then behaved like Reek and refused to go with her

yup, that is what I mean, he almost certainly doesn't know for sure else Tyrion wouldn't be alive - at best that could be taken to mean he suspects but could also simply not have a deeper meaning and just be intended as an insult
