OK great. If everyone could still keep things in spoiler tags until the Monday night showing is done that would be great, some of us have to work normal hours today and have to wait until this evening!

Oh come on, the rules are when its aired in the uk and it has. If you come in this thread between the Sunday airing and Monday night to be honest you deserve all you get and enter to find something to be offended by :p

Oh I work nights on Monday so can we please spoiler tag until Tuesday so I can enter a thread to see no content except hidden spoiler tags? So are we spoiler tagging by the rules or because someone can't watch until Monday night? :p

What exactly are you expecting to see entering this thread between Sunday and Monday airing that isn't going to be about the new episode?

The Sunday airing hasn't always been the case though has it? It's a minority of people who watch it Sunday night (or a few who access the episode in other ways).

The rule has always been the UK airing, GoT is slightly different because of the 2 airings but we have to cater for everyone.

You work Monday nights? That's a shame :p

It's available via On Demand/NowTV too. Went up about 7:30 this morning.

Seems reasonable to tag spoilers until after the 9pm showing though. Not many will have a chance to watch it before then.

Anyone else feel this show is feeling a little rushed? Take Jon Snow for example, whilst it's been a story line that has been a literal year long, in terms of the show he was dead for just one episode and....

Ayra's blindness lasted just about 3/

....for those binge-watching at later dates who watch it straight through will see these as minor plot points when they're supposed to be major ones.

But it's just not the speed in which they're happening but also the introduction of the possibility that consequences no longer matter, which I find problematic.

When Ned was beheaded it was a huge shock and when Jaime had his hand chopped off, it introduced a whole new dynamic to his character. But if either of those things were to happen now it wouldn't carry as much emotional shock value, because some magic can just be introduced 2 episodes later to reverse it anyway.

I don't under the incessant need for spoiler tags. Why even come into this thread if you don't want to discuss the episodes and previews that have aired? It's just daft.

well I can understand the previews or anything from the books (though we're beyond the books now anyway for most story arcs) but yeah it is a bit weird re: aired episodes... what else are people going to really comment on in here on a Monday... still those are the rules it seems

I'd say book spoilers are irrelevant now given that the series has gone beyond the most recent book.

Preview spoilers may arguably have a slither of legitimacy, but even that is a stretch. The previews are intended to be seen and discussed by their audience in advance of the next episode. If you don't want to hear about them, would it not make more sense to stay away from GoT threads than to expect the majority not to discuss them?

No they aren't the rules :D The rules are aired in the uk, it has. What next no talking about the Japanese GP until the re-run because it's not fair on those that don't want to get up early on a sunday morning?

People just want to be offended by anything and go looking for it tbh :D

It does seem a bit daft to come into this thread if you haven't seen the latest episode yet, but on the other hand is it really that much of a bother to put things in spoiler tags? It's just a bit of common decency for those people who haven't watched it yet.

Regarding the latest episode:

What are people's predictions on what Jon Snow is going to do now? He can't march on anyone without an army and I can't see him surviving without one. My guess would be he convinces the wildlings to march with him to retake Winterfell. Also, he's going to miss Sansa again seeing as she's on her way to castle black.

yeah he'll march with/lead the wildlings, his watch has ended - he's Jon Snow again now

Conversely surely you only have to put stuff in spoiler tags in they actually contain spoilers. The one above is a very general question that only requires you saw the episode last week and regardless of whether they seen this week's episode or not. There are no spoilers in it.
