Jesus is a prophet in Islam and not God. How can he be not God at all in Islam to being God in Christianity when apparently Christians and Muslims have the same God.
? Jesus is God's son in Christianity (other than the whole trinity thing).

I think the context there is "in spirit" which is a bit beyond my experience to explain but it doesn't make him God.
He isn't saying he is God but that for instance if you insult God you also insult him or if you insult Jesus you also insult God, etc.

i'd be more annoyed by someone posting a car advert quoting stupid unachievable mpg figures, (probably more chance of meeting a sky fairy than getting 65 mpg out my Mondeo

As you can see in threads all across this forum - if you don't agree with a fact it by and large just gets ignored and people keep olgoing with their insular opinions, spouting their version of "fact", while ignoring actual facts that disagree with their narrative unfortunately.

Either way allah is not exclusively used to denote a Muslim God. Millions of Christians use the term too, just depends what language you speak.
I guess extremely devout religious people are taught different things to people taught with a passing interest in school and taught different interpretations.

I find it fascinating how many Christians get hung up on very specific, sometimes literally interpreted, aspects and completely miss the more important sentiment of the original passage.

I assumed Roffs comment (and subsequently my response) was more to do with people reading the bible (or other religions texts, whatever translation) and taking it too literally, rather than reading it as stories that should help you do "good" in your life.
I assume most people understand that things like the King James Bible are littered with translation "errors", although I may be making the mistake of attributing too much intelligence to too many people.
