**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S7/Edge Thread ****

Well it was a solid 7 weeks, but it dropped from a metre on to the sharpest stone in Yorkshire and shattered the screen. Still working so will leave it until it gets worse. :o

The S5 has a known fault with the gyro sensor which causes the symptoms you mentioned. Samsung guarantee their phones for 2 years. Contact them for a free repair.

Not sure if I have proof of purchase for it.

Would I need to contact Samsung or EE for the repair?

Well, I've been looking around and at what people have said here:

To upgrade to an S7 with my current contract it'll total £1153.75 for the 24 months.

3 unlimited data/texts + 200 mins sim & S7 edge purchased = £896 - £950 depending where you buy the phone. valuebasket have it for £417.99 unlocked (not sure on model, its G930F LTE)

Vodaphone S7 + 6gb and unlimited texts/calls = £828
Vodaphone S7 = 12gb and unlimited texts/calls =£913

I have a S7 Edge with Vodafone. Costs me (What should be £57, insurance inc.) £45 and this is for unlimited minutes, texts and 10gb data.

Its the first contract phone I've ever had and I actually love it to bits.

Side question though, anyone who has a S7 do you know how to lock the camera? You used to be able to press the powerbutton to lock the screen when using the camera to keep it on but now I can't find out how too.

If I am moving from EE to Vodaphone or 3 how would I go about transferring my number to that account?

Also, Wifi calling, EE's CS team are advising I can only use that if I buy the phone directly from EE and not if I buy one one with them through a 3rd party! Is that true?

PAC code.

For the S7's yes I think that is right, however my stock 6P from Google works with EE WiFi calling as its baked in to MM.

Does anyone have the Gear VR and is it worth it? Genuinely thinking of getting it as a side toy with this phone.

Personally l don't think it's worth it. Not bad for seeing what VR may have to offer, but I just don't think the image quality is good enough. I got mine for free with the S7 and would have been very disappointed if I'd paid money for it.

Though get other opinions as I know some people have been more impressed than me, there is a VR thread here somewhere.

that vodafone, 60 quid handset, 6gb ultd mins/texts at £32 looks to be about the best deal out there?

FYI for folks using Condensed Display Scaling - anything using fingerprint sign-in like Android Pay or Natwest doesn't work. For some reason the software sees display scaling as a security risk.

No problem.

There might be better deals out there but this is the one i settled with. Loving the phone.

Torn between getting an S7 or getting a sim only deal for £5 a month with my S5... massive savings......... but I want the S7 :p
