**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S7/Edge Thread ****

I've just come onto this thread as mine has started to do this too. Was absolutely faultless before. And I'm starting to think my finger print scanner isn't as good now either?

Seems an update has screwed something up.

Hmm.

A restart seems to have largely sorted it. I don't use the scanner though. Haven't had an update in a while though. I'm using the s7 flat

I use a case so can't comment on the back, but no issues with the front. Obviously I don't keep it in a pocket with keys, or with anything else really.

I was a little concerned to find a minute scratch after a few days, this concerned me as I look after it well and couldn't imagine how it could have scratched so easily, but nothing since and I'm pretty sure it just must have been there since I got it.

Thanks, I had a similar issue with my S6+, I too found a tiny scratch after a week or so, I then got a bit paranoid and put a skinomi screen protector on.

I'd prefer not to have one of one of the LCD type case as chaparral suggested, I tried one on my S6 and found it a bit of a faff if you just want to take a quick snap or don't have your other and free.

I guess I'll just give it a go and hope for the best.

Does anyones notifications sometimes either not appear or disappear from the lock screen?
Its been on going for a while but only really started to bug me now.

I had a bit of a bug yesterday where dismissed calendar notifications kept on coming back every few minutes even after swiping them away to dismiss (not snooze)

as anyone else got a issue with always on display not moving?

it did move every minute when i first got the phone then i turned it off. but i turned it on again yesterday and it doesn't seem to move every minute

I believe they updated it so that it now moves very gradually rather than jumping around the screen every minute.

Not that I can seem to find any details of that update, but I'm sure I read about it here at the time.

Okay, stupid as i am, can someone please tell me why simply electronics are listing the galaxy s7 edge at 470, where every other place seem to be listing it at 639 the retail price?
Its not even close, doesnt seem to be linked to any contract. This has me utterly confused. Are they dodgy? The old looks too good to be true?

They sell grey imports, usually from Hong Kong, so the warranty might be a bit iffy if you ever have issues and you might need to send it back to Hong Kong for service.

Not many reputable places selling it for less than RRP at the moment for the sim-free handset. There was an offer via Very a few weeks ago but I think that might have finished now.

If you're due an upgrade or are out of contract it might be worth seeing what O2 can offer you as a retention deal might be the best way to get the handset for less than RRP and also to spread the cost over 12 or 24 months.

Edit: Actually the Very deal might still be on until the end of today, new customers only: http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/sam...delivered-with-code-cpxm7-valid-31-05-2411999

Tried is, promotion is invalid, I think they might have plugged wahtever loophole allowed people to purchase, as clearly people did, 40 sold in last 48 hours.
Shame.

o2 deal seemed far from a deal, 46.50 a month, 60 up front for 24 months, total cost 1176. Seems steep On her current 'deal' if she just buys the phone she will be on 15.50 a month and 640 for the phone would make 1012.
Cheapest upgrade seems to be through carphone warehouse, same deal as o2, on o2 network working out at £956, but I don't know if she can get their upgrade offers or not, need to look into it.
