As I said I only care about money in my pocket and don't give dam about immigration numbers. Immigration numbers does not effect my way of life or 99% on this forum, it only effects unemployed bums.

Unemployed bums Cgaf about immigration's effect on jobs unemployed workers might though.

I think Richard Dawkins put it very well.

I don't think it should be left to the great unwashed to decide. It has too many far reaching consequences for the average Joe to understand.

What is it with modern "Liberals" that they think that removing the right of self determination is an improvement. I had comments similar to this when chatting to some young degree educated professionals at work the other day.
Universal Suffrage was the end of a long hard struggle and irrespective of what people think we all have to live with the consequence of these decisions so why shouldn't everyone get a say. Not referring some of these momentous decisions back to the voters is what got us in the state in the first place. There is and has been a very real feeling that the publics views are not reflected in the views of their largely self selecting politicians. The publics concerns over immigration, whether you agree with them or not, are real yet they have been shouted down by a self serving elite when they haven't been blithely ignored. Not every decision can be left to a 5 yearly process of selecting representatives, some decisions cross political boundaries and won't be reflected in election results.

The reason Europe is developing a populist movement is because too many politicans are doing as Dawkins suggests.

So when the day arrives whether it be 5 - 25 years from now where the majority are replaced by robots, will you still be saying they are unemployed bums?

Absolutely this. There is no defensible argument for it to be otherwise.

It's a point of practicality really. We don't vote on every new law, instead we elect people to do it on our behalf. So it's not about whether people should or shouldn't be voting, it's whether this should be a referendum or not. I think it shouldn't, but I don't think it matters because people will vote UKIP in 2020 anyway.

We've supposedly been 10-20 years away from being replaced by robots for the last 100 years.

People who keep predicting the imminent end to mass employment remind me of those religious nutters who keep predicting the end of the world and just shift the date forward everytime it doesn't happen.

I said when the day arrives. You make it sound like it isn't happening. Nor did we have the electronic power and capabilities of the past 100 years. Things are put into motion very fast these days.

I absolutely get that. For anything less significant I wouldn't disagree. But for something this significant, the outcome of which will impact generations yet unborn, the public need to decide.

Just met IDS and David Lloyd Jones on the Vote Leave campaign trail in North Wales.

Well what % of our politicians do you think should decide?
Take my wonderful little part of the world, Norn Iron, where the largest party is in favour of leave. Our politicians come in two general categories, barristers and uneducated. Neither really is informed in any fashion that could make an educated decision.

Best leave it to the people, as they're the ones who will have to fix the mess either way.

Really happy to meet them to be honest and pleased they saw fit to visit North Wales. Haven't heard anything from a remain campaign up this way yet ...

They weren't able to get their 'battlebus' through Conwy (medieval town walls) so they parked up near my work and I wondered over. Because of a lack of a crowd I was able
to have 5 minutes with them both and their entourages.

Very soft hands ... Both of them.

I feel this 6 minute video sums up why I'm voting out, along with we went to 2 world wars with Germany to stop them running Europe... now they are running europe and dictating laws to us and telling us we should open borders

Our NHS, Schools, Roads (M25), Doctors, housing, public transport are full, we are only a small island and can't keep lettings hundreds of thousands of people in.

Because leaving the EU will stop all the immigration...

People have lots of valid reasons for voting out, but to do it because ZE Germans and two world wars and them taking over Europe is such a massive load of xenophobic crap its unbelievable.
