What have you done to your car today?

Changed the plastic cap on my Leon key for a metal one off one if the higher-spec Golfs. Totally pointless but cost very little and just makes the key look and feel a bit nicer, the plastic one feels really cheap and nasty.

Want to change the rear indicators for LEDs next to match the rest of the OEM lights, something SEAT should probably have done in the first place.

That's crazy power for an mx-5, my massive saab with 260bhp doesn't hang around, I can only imagine what it would do when applied to a shoe!

It's a bit daft tbh, it's far more power than is actually usable in a light car with a short gearbox on the road, but on the flipside it makes it less hard work to drive having all the mid range torque to lean on

I love to hate on mx5s but actually a turbo'd one gets me interested. The handling of an mx5 with the power of my silvia can only be an awesome thing?

Replaced both rear windows in the M5. Part way through the second I saw the clouds coming over and was actually rushing to finish. Finished off, reconnected the battery and put the window up all of 30s before it started chucking it down, just had to dump all the tools in the boot and get inside. Really bloody close...

Plus, drift fun?
Open diff, and I like to keep it in a pointing in the right direction on the road, one mistake and it's game over, or waving bye to a driving license

260bhp in an MX5 must be incredible. Mine was quick enough with 165.

I could be wildy wrong about the 260 figure, but most make 250 with 12psi on a TD04 and mine was creeping to just under a bar with some widly guessed boost duty values.

I really need to get Closed Loop boost control working but all I get is wild boost oscillations with it at the moment

My MX5 had everything but the power and I regret letting it go. Just needed boost.

I fully intend to get another but likely for track only and go to town on srtipping and rebuilding it with boost of course.

Drove it, 30miles, mix of interstate and traffic (Journey concert was on) and somehow... I can't explain... got this both ways. This truck is rated at 24mpg highway and has always been accurate for the trip, yet last night it was giving me these figures.

You don't have a torsen? Mine was very usable and not much worry about being in the wrong direction but kept the power down on the road well. It also meant you could do some drifting too :)

It's on my To-do list, the only trouble is I'm being spectacularly fussy and want a Torsen with a 3.63 Final Drive and they don't come up too often as it was only a handful of mk2s that had them, the 2.5s had a Super Fuji which was a clutch type diff and aren't great.

I have a good few sideways moments, but I try to keep it to a minimum. I'd be out of a job if i did get caught and lost my license

Edit: Virtual dyno graph showing the difference an intercooler made, software is reported to be almost on the nail and using the same road etc should at least net me consistent results even if the resulting figures are off

Went to check out another C6 RS6 at Tunbridge Wells Audi for a mate. It was taken in as a P/X about a week ago and I couldn't believe the state of it, it looked so abused!

Even the salesman said that, after they'd done the mechanical check this morning, they now weren't sure whether they could justify the cost of fixing it up to sell via their dealers or whether they would just auction it off.

Literally every panel has some form of accident damage or deep scores like a bear had attacked it except for the roof and there's about £5k minimum mechanical work needed inc pulling the engine!

How could people treat a non-shed car like that???
