shooting in gay club orlando

Contrary to what some have said here (and pretty much in every thread where Muslims are mentioned for what matter), I saw this posted on Facebook and thought it was very well put and well rounded. No doubt people will pick and mix only what they want to hear, but that's life.

Sadly these extremists aren't going away any time soon. Things will no doubt get better... we hope.

I see Trump has already hinted at his next move on the matter.

No, your understanding of the page is factually wrong.

It clearly says "This means that many Muslim countries tolerate same-sex acts so long as they happen in private and do not challenge the existing dominant family and social order."

You don't have to worry about trying to understand anything else mate, it tells you explicitly what it "means".....
"Muslim countries tolerate same-sex acts"
"Muslim countries tolerate same-sex acts"
"Muslim countries tolerate same-sex acts"

In fact there are homosexual street parties in Pakistan itself!

Again, it's nothing do with being gay, its to do with being effeminate and advertising your sex to everyone.

I wouldn't want sex being rammed in my face whether its hetero or homo or whatever.

So you are saying everything in the wiki link i posted is only about effeminate men?

Taken from the same link:

Criminalized[edit]
According to the International Lesbian and Gay Association (ILGA) seven countries still retain capital punishment for homosexual behavior: Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Iran, Afghanistan, Mauritania, Sudan, and northern Nigeria.[67][68]

In United Arab Emirates it is a capital offense.[69][11] In Qatar, Algeria, Uzbekistan, and the Maldives, homosexuality is punished with time in prison or a fine.[70]

In Egypt, openly gay men have been prosecuted under general public morality laws. (See Cairo 52.)

In Saudi Arabia, the maximum punishment for homosexual acts is public execution, which is often carried out.[71] The government will sometimes use lesser punishments—for example, fines, time in prison, and whipping—as alternatives.

So are you saying that whole link is just about effeminate men? The above is some strict punishment then don't you think.

I laughing at your striking lack of evidence to back up claims, and your arrogance. Its err very GD...

So question to you. Your buddy down at the mosque, lets say for arguments sake his name is mohammed. He starts inciting hatred and his hate for the West, are you going to report him to the authorities so that he can be investigated, or are you going to be romanced into what he's saying and keep tight lipped ? Because he like you, believes in some fictitious (V.IMPORTANT to note that part) again for the record, a FICTITIOUS deity called Allah.

Odds are 2 out of 3 of you, will keep tight lipped.

Why isn't that number 1 in a thousand? Or even one in a hundred ? Why is that? please explain. Oh and please no more quotes from the man made book called the Quran please. I'm not interested. No more interested than the many bible bashers that try and sell into the bible via a bunch of dumb quotes. Except i have less problems with bible bashers cos for the most part, they're all talk and no bang...

Are we really arguing if Islam has a problem with homosexuality? It is fairly well documented that it does so the facts sort of speak for themselves on that one.

Individual Muslims don't, and that is to be commended, but the religion as a whole certainly does.

Of course it isn't alone, the Abrahamic faiths in particular are generally intolerant of it, it is one of the areas where liberalism fails to challenge properly, giving religious beliefs more protection from criticism than the more intolerant beliefs deserve.

How do you explain that in these SAME locations, it is also a crime to be openly HETERO-sexual!!!??? You honestly haven't heard the stories about the heterosexual couples who get a bit excited in Muslim countries and end up getting charged?

It's to do with all sexuality. Try going round shoving heterosexual promiscuity in these same countries faces and you'll face the same problems!

In the real world there are at least 20% homosexuals living in the countries you listed, yes its sad that they cant go around having gay parades but when's the last time a straight man in the same country went round parading his heterosexuality and get away with it???

Clearly not insightful enough.

Haha, your link has 4 quotes and only one is from the Quran and is an anecdote of some guy named Lot. Not a direct commanding of any kind.

So no, not plenty and not "all" taken from the Quran.

You can't blame arazi for the puerile mistakes of his chosen hate site.

Probably not much consolation to the three year who'll never see his Mum or Dad again. "It's only 2 dead - not so bad" isn't really an acceptable response imo. How many more terror attacks are we going to tolerate before we actually do something?

You're just a massive contradiction aren't you?

Someone makes a proposition which could reduce the potential death toll in a similar terrorist attack by up to 95% and you completely brush it off using some emotionally charged scenario and continue whining about not doing anything?

What do you want to do exactly? Arm civilian vigilantes and push more guns into the streets of America?

/devils advocate

Isn't the question more one of perception, than plain law - from the perspective of *some* devout Muslims, a gay person might not be innocent and therefore it wouldn't be murder in their eyes.

*shrugs*

The straight answer to that is: No. It's not a matter of 'perception'.

The USA has a rule of law, which strictly prohibits murder. Buy an AR-15, and massacre dozens of innocents on US soil, and you have broken their rule of law.

I don't see how removing law abiding citizen's best means of defending themselves will make any of safer. I suppose the difference between me and everyone else is that I don't feel obligated to be a victim.

"Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."

HAHAHA how naive are you? Law abiding citizen? seriously?

And what do you think you are? Rambo? Defending against a 99% of all crimes is a bit different to defending yourself against a man who does a spontaneous 360 degrees spray and pray with an AR-15 in a packed club full of drunk people.

Seems like a good time to drop this.

Gays Must Die Says Speaker At Orlando Mosque WFTV 9 Orlando Report

"The Husseini Islamic Center, 5211 Hester Ave, Sanford, FL 32773, invited Sheikh Farrokh Sekaleshfar to speak at their Mosque. Dr. Sekaleshfar says the killing of homosexuals is the compassionate thing to do.

In a 2013 speech Sheikh Sekaleshfar said this regarding gays, “Death is the sentence. We know there’s nothing to be embarrassed about this, death is the sentence...We have to have that compassion for people, with homosexuals, it's the same, out of compassion, let’s get rid of them now.”

I wonder how many people take stuff like this seriously?

Probably not (btw - you can't do "spray and pray" with an AR-15, this isn't COD Infinite Battlefield or whatever), but I would at least like the opportunity and capability to defend myself if (Heaven forbid) I find myself in a situation like that. I certainly don't think the clubbers should have been armed - alcohol and firearms certainly isn't a good mix.

One thing I'd like to know is; why did his wife not tip off what he was planning to the police? Reports are that she knew he was planning an attack, and even drove him to the Pulse nightclub to case it out.

That dude is ****ing weird that's for sure.

Looking at his body language it's highly likely this man is actually homosexual and worried that hes going to hell, so he's trying to wipe out lots of gays so he becomes responsible for good deeds in his mind. Why does he use the words "there's nothing to be embarrassed about" and why is he looking down and shake his head when he says it? The way he's sitting and whispering just screams to me that in this mas heart he believes he's guilty of being homosexual himself, he's definitely hiding something and that's what I assume is most likely.

Very interesting If I was in the audience I'd have tried to befriend him for the purposes of a psychological assessment. Does anyone have a link to the full speech? I want to figure this guy out for sure.

The bible is no better, but at least we're not seeing anything more than a few bible bashers denouncing gays rather than actually shooting them, or running around in European city centers shooting up innocents in the name of 'their' god.

I'm just sick of it. If i was to devise a religion, lets call it father christmas exists and it you don't believe it, i'm going to kill you violently for now, anyway, if i did that, i'd be ridiculed locked away and the key thrown. But because its muslims, we have to accept it.. No send em to the shrink for believing all that crap.. find out what part of their mind is malfunctioning to be so easily led.. Devise a pill offer counselling, do what ever, but don't encourage it by opening more mosques !

No, they influence the laws of countries and get gay people arrested and imprisoned - see many parts of Africa.
