European Grand Prix 2016, Baku - Race 8/21

Well this has been a Qualifying where Hamilton screwed it up all on his own.

Yes and no, it was but he got utterly screwed by Hulk in Q2, which put him under a lot of pressure Rosberg wasn't. Hamilton was then pushing harder and harder and where Rosberg had two sets of tires for Q3 Ham had one set which again more pressure so he's putting it right on the limit.

Not great but we're going to see more overtaking that otherwise. Perez has been a beast here, best performance by a mile in qualifying of anyone 7/10ths back in that car, trouncing Williams, beating Ferrari and absolutely destroying Hulk.

Oooff got greedy at the tight bit! he's just not had it under control all qualifying, he was driving scrappy through every session, I wonder what has made the change in form from FP? Temps? brakes? just trying too hard?

The sliver lining for us Lewis fans is that the race will be exciting as Lewis tries to move up from 9th to a podium finish, so not all bad.

Would I be right in saying if there is a messy crash it'll block the track so automatic red flag? Say around the tight sections.

Ricciardo destroying Vettel there for 3rd :p

Bottas being an idiot with both runs, both times attempting a completely ridiculous line for himself while ruining the Vestappen's corner at the same time. I would say that pretty much counts as a block and he did it twice.

im not liking the look of the circuit from quali, should have watched the gp2 race tbh, the commentators said it was decent.

Anyone watch it?

Since Ricciardo and Vettel have identical lap times, what determined Vettel as 4th and Ricciardo 3rd on the grid?

Tomorrows race could be a nightmare and we may see red flag after red flag. There doesn't appear to be any cranes anywhere and hardly any gaps in the walls to get a car out of the way. Fast track but poorly thought out.
