What have you done to your car today?

Girlfriend's parents have changed their mind about swapping cars so having to take down the ads for their yellow polo and sell her Clio instead.

What would you ask for this, and where would you advertise it, to get shot of it reasonably quickly?

- 2008 (08 Reg)
- 1.2 Clio Expression, 3 door, silver
- 44k miles
- 1 previous owner
- Massive folder of all the history
- No damage, pretty much immaculate condition, everything works

Was thinking £1995?

Prepped the car for it's MOT:-

That looks really clean, very nice! It's quite a classic shape that when that well sorted still looks good to me!

Cheers! It's one of the reasons I like them. Just a neat package, too - relatively compact turbo four, all-wheel drive, low-slung cabin, etc...

How much are these worth now? Yours looks lovely.

About £7k-£8k nets you a nice one, although some dealers are doing their best to bump prices up by advertising low-mileage examples for £10k-£15k.

IIRC (might even have been from when Lashout bought his), that they quattro sport models are surprisingly really really expensive. Like 10k expensive.

Yea, they do command a fair premium these days - the club reckons there's about 640-odd of them left, out of the original 800 imported into the UK. Surprisingly quick car, too; book figure of 5.9sec for 0-62mph - and only a remap away from being far quicker...

that just looks so good! love it.

Thanks grudas! Got a few blemishes up close, but then it is 11 years old!

Yea I did.
they were travelers, and seemed to only care about the door and if I wanted money for it....
"Its only a dog, but the car... bet that's expensive.. not our fault though"

Tried to take off my plates to put new ones on.

Only managed to get the front one off, rear one is like welded on !

Took my wheels off to the garage to have some AD08R's fitted. She's going down to the Goodwood festival of speed on Saturday so can not wait to give them a good thrashing!

Booked car in at Wessex Car Trimming to have my driver side bolster stitching re-done. It's a seat out, backrest off and machine stitch job. The top part has started to un-stitch itself and I want it sorted before it gets bad.

£70+VAT, not bad for the labour work involved (the good part of a day). Gotta find something to do for a few hours while I wait around Southampton central...
