If Brexit wins then Boris. Chances are it won't and George will be leader.

prefer Cameron to both but as a Lab our supporter I hope Corbyn wins the next election.

If Brexit wins then get Borris because Britain will need to rebuild its bumbling, dosey fool image back to post 4 weddings and a funeral levels.

Labours already won the next election, thats the way it goes in the UK remember or is it 4 more years till the next disastrous change. Ive lost track.

I wouldn't bet on it half the party want out of Europe and a large percentage of the grass roots all so want out so Boris can stand to be leader based on at least he tried and will probably win as the other potential candidates May and George are both horribly flawed and about as charismatic as a duck.

Because he is the leader of the labour part which is the party a significant number of people feel best represents them the actual leader isn't all that important?

Apart from supporting Leave in this referendum (which obviously means he's a xenophobic, racist, little-Englander), why do people not like Boris? Yes he plays on his bumbling buffoon image but he was also Mayor of London for eight years and I'm not aware of any failings in his performance there.

I'm pretty sure Boris is a lot smarter than people give him credit for.Then again, I don't live in London, so I have no idea about what carnage he might have caused there!

Image is everything if you want to be taken serious on the world stage.
He gave that up to be Mayor.
Prime Ministers and Mayors have the last call they don't make up the policies. I don't want him to be a figurehead he is too comical too much of a buffoon.

I'm not sure about that. I'm not convinced we'd be as wary of say, Russia, if Boris was their president.

Depends on how long Dave can survive.

If he's out soon, then Boris takes over, with Gove and Jacob Reece-Mog as king makers.

If he hangs on for a while, then there will be a leadership contest with Boris, Theresa May, George Osborne, and maybe Michael Gove and Ruth Davidson. Can't see anyone else having enough of a profile to compete, no idea who would win though.

Boris is an extremely intelligent person, that's never been in question and fool anyone who thinks otherwise.

The bumbling foppish exterior is just an act, underneath he's quite a cold calculating nasty *******, and like Tony Blair I don't trust anybody in public office who covers their true personality with such an act.

No, I didn't say anything of the sort. I'm making the point that image is important. Everything else the same, would Russia's president be taken as seriously in the world stage as he is now if he behaved like Boris does?

if hed still invaded /annexed countries yes of course he would.

maybe the odd pleb on the street might think different but heads of state with detailed reports and analytics would not.
