No, I didn't say anything of the sort. I'm making the point that image is important. Everything else the same, would Russia's president be taken as seriously in the world stage as he is now if he behaved like Boris does?

case in point, what is the international image of the Japanese PM? the Chinese president? prime minister of Spain? south Korean president? Canadian pm?

without googling what are your personal impressions of these leaders.

You clearly haven't seen what she's done to the police.

I've not noticed anything, they are never there when you need them but turn up when someone is handing out free pens so nohing has changed has it?

If she has increased their retirement age to the same as the rest of us that would be a good thing.

Define 'international image' - because you're asking me personally. With the exception of the Canadian PM, of whom I have a reasonably positive impression, the others are neutral to me. I suspect the same will not be true of someone else whose interests lie elsewhere.

Not sure what you're getting at really :o

international image, how they're perceived abroad.

you just said image is very important and cited Boris and Putin.

so theres a bunch of other leaders, I'm asking how you view them in comparison.

So far we've got boris is a baffoon, putin is scary, the canadian pm is nice and the rest are "neutral".

Right...? And...?

Good luck with the retirement thing if you want a 65 year old to come to your rescue when you're being assaulted.

Dave will still be here for a while.

Well regardless of what happens tomorrow I think Mr Cameron is a dead duck.

Given that almost half of his party oppose him on the EU, Ii predict a leadership challenge very soon.

Dave will be there till the date he said he is already leaving. The vote was a smart move in the bigger scheme because the voters themselves, the conservatives even wanted that say in policy. It is a right wing party after all and EU is very much a lefty socialist almost conglomeration.
He knew people would just opt to stay in, so I think that kind of political finesse likely indicates he stays on as is
Its the EU which is a dead duck imo but even a dead duck will float so its not an immediate concern in Cameron's career tbh

I think he will go, basking in his moment of glory. He won't give a **** about what happens here in the future, 'cos he'll either be on a board somewhere, making millions doing speeches, or sitting in a cushy job in Brussels... ;)

Should he get his high end job in Brussels, he can enjoy it while it lasts. He'd destroy what's left of the EU quicker than them numb nuts can ;)

We were discussing how quiet that May had been during the current debate only this morning.

She's systematically ruined the Police, she's just started on the Fire Service, so let's see what she can do to the whole country eh?

I feel the need to apologise, she's my local MP and although I didn't vote for her 65% of the voters here did so on behalf of everyone that lives near me..SORRY.

You're not part of the problem but you're close enough to the issue so I'm going to blame you anyway ;)

I cant see why he'd have to leave, Iam I reading it wrong. Like the PM agrees with every law or even every member of his own party. Thatcher didnt even seem to rate her own cabinet :o
Someone said the vote was just a protest against current government, that makes little sense if leaving EU gives them more power
Boris Johnson.

Come on some one has to say it.

Nope, far too outspoken to get away with it I'd guess. though he may now get a cabinet job I guess?

It's a tricky one. I think Boris will go for it, but I don't think people will take him seriously enough as a leader.

He's tried to tone down on the buffoon image recently but I think it's too late for him for any real seniority position.
