I was awake at 03:30 checked my phone and couldn't go back to sleep, was listening to just the sound of BBC1 on iPlayer via headphones.

I was undecided for a while but moved into the remain camp, my wife has wanted to stay from the start. I really dreaded her waking up. I could hear here phone going off from 6am and knew it was here friends texting their disappointment. She was gutted when she found out :(

In my mind this was a pointless exercise that will leave us back where we were just a less powerful player in Europe.

Please prove me wrong....

Calling people bigots who voted leave is idiotic. Most people who vote leave aren't doing it for immigration but for economical reasons. Leaving EU won't stop the majority of non EU immigration anyway.
well ya get an A+ for the wonders its done for the economy... 500 point difference and some huge banks down 35%

I bet those numpties in Scotland who voted to stay part of GB are regretting this now :D

My borough voted to stay. I'm proud. :p

I'm very much keen to see what happens I've invested nearly 20 years personally to this country so I have given a lot. I've taken hardly a thing. So I'm keen on ensuring Britain thrives. At the same time I'm proudly European and like the unity we had.

Anyway I'll embrace this as I have no choice but i just hope the grass is greener.

Voting split by age:-

18-24 75% Remain
24-49 56% Remain
50-64 44% Remain
65+ 39% Remain

****** over again by people that will be dead soon.

What sort of Europe will it be? We are not the only Country that has become disheartened. Others could follow now, we are just the first which is typically British.

judging by the state of the pound right now i dont think they would care

euro will also get hammered in the short term because of the uncertainty in the eu, not least the prospect of the citizens of other countries asking for/demanding a referendum of their own.

pound's getting hit because of the uncertainty (hopefully short term) - all depends on calming/stabalising the situation & shoeing markets that business carries on.

One of my circles on FB has me a bit shocked. Creative, cultured and highly intelligent educated people in my music group yet several are labeling all Leave voters as racist bigots. I'm not even taking the bait and I'm sorely disappointed that they would even think that about me. :(

It's as if they think immigration is the sole reason for voting Leave which is utter BS.

Referendums are ridiculous. What qualifies the public to make such a monumental decision. It's an inordinately complex economic and political question that has basically been distilled down to put a cross in this box if you are

A: "I'm not racist but......",
B: below average IQ,
C: enjoy waving flags

tick the other box if none of the above apply. ;)
