When's Cameron's speech?

Did not like farages divisive victory speech, the country is absolutely divided right now almost down the middle with strong feelings on either side. It's going to take everybody pulling together and working together to make this work for the future of this nation.

Although voted for remain, the leave won fair and square and happy to do my part.

How long will it take for the dust to settle?
How will it affect saving?
How will it affect mortgages?
What about salaries and pay?
Will the BOE interest rate start to rise?
Will inflation fall or rise?
Will stuff cost more?
Will they drop VAT back down?

I know these are all unknowns but with the uncertainty it is a little concerning, there are so many things to consider and think about ! Sure it will take years for this to embed itself, but still thinking about it!

Also being on a fixed rate mortgage for the next 5 years is going to be a God send hopefully my pay won't be affected!

At least at the end of it we'll know where we stand.

Remaining the the EU was just as much a gamble, imho.

What if they'd gone for ever closer union?
The UK would have been less and less a "real member" of the EU.
Or we'd have had to integrate more fully.

Cameron's "EU negotiations" were a complete failure in two ways:
1. He didn't get what he wanted.
2. It showed he didn't believe in the EU fully.

I think DC actually did more harm than good with his failed negotiations. It showed us how little influence we really had inside the EU. And it showed how different UK attitudes were to EU attitudes.

Was supposed to be 8am iirc. Guess they're running late.

Farage has just said this morning that it won't be getting the money and that he was "misquoted". Yep, it took all of about an hour after the last area was counted for him to back track over a key promise and one which he sold to voters as being a big reason to come out.

His campaign didn't make that claim in the first place and he has no influence on where the money goes. Why everyone is looking to someone who isn't even an MP is beyond me. I think people just want an "I told you so" moment, despite the reality of the matter.

My reaction when I woke up this morning:

Once my SO finishes University and is qualified, I am getting the hell outta here.

The Britain of yesteryear is no more and I want no part of it.

Move then, bet you don't.

So I wonder if the EU will make any announcements on Turkey's ascension in the coming days since that will be another difficult moment for DC.

Surly if we leave the EU we won’t be working with the EU as closely to stop illegal immigrants. So by leaving we end up with worse illegal immigrants.

dont confuse them, they are celebrating. Well, until they go shopping and see the sudden price hike the supermarkets have imposed... Overreaction, no, any food supermarkets buy from outside the UK now will cost them a lot more.

For sure I hope the pound stabilizes and gets stronger but lets be realistic, it is going to affect us straight away regardless of what happens in the future.
