Matched betting - who's done it and who's good at it? (No Referrals)

Qualifying bets are usually normal.

Free bets are usually SNR, meaning your free bet stake is deducted from the winnings. SR would mean you got the free bet stake back as part of the winnings also, not even sure when this ever applies in practice tbh!

Had a couple of SR recently, think was one the free bet from a first bet refund with Unibet maybe..can't remember the other.

On this individual transaction can you state exactly what you have done pls.

sure

The money back special is bet £20 on a team to win and for every goal they score you get a £5 free bet.

So Bet £20 on Wales at 2.0 to win.

and at the same time layed Wales at 2.12 @ £19.32. (use a matched betting calculator)

That's the qualifying part of the bet done.

Whatever happens - my maximum lost is £1.64.

i.e wales win - i get £20 x 2.0 = £40 - £20 (original stake) = £20 profit
BUT
my bet on the exchange would lose me £21.64 so overall = £1.64 lose BUT however many goals Wales score = £5 free bet x goals.

draw or NI win- I lose £20 with paddy power as Wales didn't win, but win £19.32 at the exchange, take off 5% commission from Betfair = £1.64 lose as well.

So basically you hoping for a Wales win scoring 2 or 3 goals to get the free bets, which you then lay off to make a profit on your next bet.

But at worst i lose £1.64 whatever the result.

Right, after 7 months i've canceled my PA subscription because £33 a month (inc Match Catcher) is a joke compared to their rivals.

Has anyone tried Yesbets and Oddsmonkey and if so which is the best? The oddsmonkey software looks great if it works as advertised.

You could always put 50p-£1 on Wales not scoring too

I am on Yesbets its the first one i've tried, seems good but I feel like its more for beginners, rather then those who have been doing it a while and know what they are upto.

I'd go with oddsmonkey seeing as you know what you're doing already.

Almost recouped my £125 **** up losses with some horse racing refunds today. £50 risk free on Bet365 from a 9.0 odds horse winning :D and 2x £25 free bets for Betfair Sportsbook winners @ 4.0+ SP. Missed out on so many others so narrowly too...

And covered 9 horses on the extra places race only to have the 13th or so placed SP horse win...

Well done mate thats a good haul

Only got one refund for Idaho at coral (beaten by a length)

I'm just finishing up some signup offers still, and have £330 + £30 free bet to come in (worth about £23)

In the reload section on yesbets, when they are not guaranteed profit, unless you hit the reload criteria (horse 2nd place ect) are you set to lose a small amount? 40p - £1?

Yes most horse and footy refunds you will lose a bit unless you hit the refund. Some can be locked in for small profit or risk free (0 qualifying loss) chance at mid range profit (e.g ladbrokes draw on home team game offer) but most you aim to lose as little as possible on the basis that the more offers you do over time the more you win. Doesn't always work out though :p

Had bets on 12 horses today at qualifying losses between 30p and £1.50 and only hit 1 refund of £25. Also had 6 footy refunds on and not hit any, total losses on those about £7 (one was £3 for £50 refund chance though).

Not a good day for me!

It's mad how it could have worked out different though. If I'd bet on griezman rather than giroud I'd have made like £50 just on that offer with betfair triple odds and I was about to bet on gomez for first goalscorer (refund would have triggered if he scored 2nd which he did) when I had to answer the door just before the match so missed it!

But I guess thats why people actually gamble :o

And I didn't put a bet on the unibet injury time refund because I ran out of exchange money and they score at 91 mins  Putting something on every refund this week...

Got a couple of hundred pound to play with so i'll be signing up for Yesbets.

Good time to start? lots going on or best to wait a little bit?

Not a bad time to start with the a euros and sign up offers assuming you don't have many bookie accounts. That said id join OM over yesbets.
