What have you done to your car today?

Well now that is something! :p

I know, never even though to check it when I bought it. The engine cover was in the way, and considering the money i paid, I was not really fussed as it sounded fine :)

Got a bit of a surprise when I pulled the spark plug lead out and it squelched and threw oil everywhere. I had all kinds of terminal stories running through my head.

I think the gasket was done before, but badly, no RTV sealant used, and seemed to be leaking all over. Even if it leaks a bit, will be fine for the tiny mileage I am doing in it :D

Decat pipe off the ST and standard cat back in place, nearly ready to sell now :(

Also hit myself in the forehead with a hammer while laying under the car trying to split two sections, fun times.

Not technically today, but collected my Type R the other day after having an exhaust hanger adjusted and also bumped into this camo wrapped EP3, which belongs to a local detailing company.

I personally wouldn't stick poly bushes on a type R, they're hard enough and I'm not certain you'll get masses of handling improvement from them? If your bushes are done I'd be more inclined to go OEM personally

Yeah, I did debate whether to go with standard or polybushes, but Gerry convinced me that poly would be better in the long run, but you're right, ride quality as standard is firm, though its improved greatly since having Eibach Pro springs fitted.

I might have to think about it a bit more before I pull the trigger!

With eibachs and fresh suspension Gubbins in general it will still be a significantly better thing to chuck around than most of its competitors from the time.

If you're going to keep it for a long time or are aching for that little bit if improvement then go for it, but I never felt the need with mine after it had the eibachs and a proper setup

Yeah, mine had the geometry and FRS done at the same time as the Eibach springs, handling is spot on now.

Are you local to Glasgow rodenal?

Yeah I've noticed that before though I haven't really used live for donks.

A member there, I'd say i haven't used the site for maybe 8 years or so

Need to get an inner CV boot as that's split, will be getting a genuine one as pattern ones never last or fit properly. And I'll be doing the timing belt next month too.

Did a couple more bits with VCDS too, changed the hill hold assist setting to 'low' which means it lets go of the brakes with lower revs, makes for a perfectly smooth take-off now. Also enabled turn-assist via the fog lights.
