Wow Harris was very odd trying to jazz up his segment with jokes and gimmicks. Many cringes.
Matt was good on the Rolls segment, got a few smiles.
In my opinion they should have tried something completely new instead of attempting to re-hash a format that worked for many reasons, not just production values and factual content. Plonking Chris Evans, Matt Leblanc and Sabine Schmitz into "Top Gear like" situations and watching them go through the motions trying to recapture the same feel doesn't do it for me. I find it forced and very rarely funny, which is a shame because most of them are clearly capable of being excellent in their own way. Reid is a good example- I thoroughly enjoyed the Tesla review because it was him being him. As soon as he was back in the studio being Clarkson'd by rest of the cast, I wanted to turn off.
It's like getting the cast of the IT Crowd to do the Monty Python parrot sketch verbatim. I love the IT Crowd cast and they might even make it amusing, but it wouldn't be Monty Python. They do their own thing far better.
Does Evans realise he doesn't need to keep continuity going each week by wearing the same clothes?
