I know the economy will take a hit, it's just I'm willing to be a little bit poorer to have a proper Democratic UK government with full control over our laws. I mean considering people have died for that I don't think my holiday being slightly more expensive is a huge price to pay.



No one's going to tell a Scientists they can't come here and work and study, do you have many problems with US or Canadian Scientists coming here?

They wont want to. The eu pumps £8 billion into scientific research in the uk. Thats why we have some the best scientists in the world here and produce 16% of the world's scientific papers.

You honestly think that the eu will continue pumping £8 billion post brexit? Or that equally out own government will replace it with £8 billion?

No. Niether will happen so the scientists will leave and go work elsewhere.

Just saw Farage's little speech at the EP today. That guy just says it without a care doesn't he!

Some will not like it but i like his approach. I like how he really cares more than most MPs etc about this country. Ok, some will argue against that but this is how he come across and he says a lot of what the average 'Jo' in the street is talking about. He has more balls than most MPs!

He cares nothing about the UK, just the advancement of his career.

I think we are seeing Junker's true colours now. He is acting very much like a dictator. He has bluntly refused to listen to what Scotland/SNP have to say and is refusing to let other leaders talk directly to the UK. Despite it being in their best interest. He is going to be responsible for the EU falling apart, I can already see it coming.

I'm not the greatest admirer of Jacob Rees-Mogg, but he outright came out and said that he was a member of the establishment like any other on live telly. No acts. No bull. No pints or fags. He might take his nanny on the campaign trail, but at least he doesn't mis-sell who he is.

We are pretty much seeing the EU's true face now with how petulant and spiteful they are being.

If the EU was this great bastion of peace, prosperity and cooperation that it makes itself out to be, then leaving would be a nicer process.

Professor Partick Minford has some very good points here on trade and the EU. It is worth a watch whether you were on leave or remain.

Those people he is talking to are supposed to be our politicians... you can feel the dip in intelligence like a gravitational field in some parts of the room...
