Sad thing is she is very popular and May isnt liked by some people and I could see Leadsom winning it.

Dear God that's a scary prospect. I'm suddenly realising that a Donald Trump as POTUS and Boris Johnson as PM isn't the worst dystopian future that is possible.

Bit weird to criticise him for this, imo. He can only choose from the apparent list of available candidates.

To be honest, I mostly find it amusing from the standpoint of what sort of esteem we should place his very earnestly given opinion.

"Boris Johnson, without doubt"
"Michael Gove is the man"
"Theresa May is the clear choice"

I don't see the issue.

From a field including Boris, he had no doubts that Boris was his choice.

The field narrowed. From this new field, Michael Gove was his clear choice.

The field narrowed and now there are only two - of these two, for him, May is the clear choice.

I can't see the issue

Perhaps their quiet because they won? The only people who are making noise are the remainers who are having problems accepting the result.

It appears the rest of the worlds economies are having the same issue too. As more and more red financial flags start being waved from retailers to large financial institutions, I wonder how many people will admit to putting their cross in the 'leave' box.

Personally I can't wait for things to really go breasts up. We will need that old Tory general election poster, the one that showed a huge dole queue with the 'Labour isn't working' slogan underneath. The slogan can then read - Brexit isn't working.

Personally I can't wait for things to really go **** up. We will need that old Tory general election poster, the one that showed a huge dole queue with the 'Labour isn't working' slogan underneath. The slogan can then read - Brexit isn't working.

It is having quite a precipitous affect on the global economy - will probably see techniques of the nature of "quantitative easing" and the likes used to balance the whole system out which might lessen the impact here - but at the end of the day many foreign investors and other entities, etc. are going to look to their own preservation first rather than risk going under propping us up.

Leadsom would be terrible so it stands to reason that the Tory membership will elect her.

Things being a mother gives you relevant experience for:

Leading a country
Tackling inequality
Being a mother

Don't forget knowing the best brand to use on baby poo stains and the best way to get your child out of school in term time for a cheaper holiday.

You do realise this isn't a football match? There is no "win" here. It was a vote for change, which is a huge gamble which may or may not work out . Even if it does work out in the long run, there's likely a whole heap of pain in the short-medium term getting there and there will be very few winners in that.

If the Leavers were truly behind their wrecking ball of a campaign then they would be anything but silent right now, they should be brimming with ideas about how to move forwards and make things better for everyone. Because that's the goal right, to make things better?

So where are they? All the main Brexit leaders have run for the hills, either because they weren't fully behind the project, or were playing political games and didn't expect to win, or don't have a clue how to clean up the mess they made and are running scared. Hugely irresponsible.

Or was Brexit just a knee-jerk vote against immigration combined with a protest vote against the government of the day and a chance for the disaffected to kick the establishment. In which case, I think we're going to be hard put to find anyone with a genuine plan for the future.

But what a "win" eh? LOL.
