British Grand Prix 2016, Silverstone - Race 10/21

Surely that's a very woolly phrase though what constitutes an 'imminent failure' 1 lap, 5 laps, 10 laps......failures aren't an exact science anyway it might last ages!

Well precisely - surely they could just say 'We thought it'd go any second, honest guv!' and get away with it...

Stewards need to nip this radio talk in the bud, this should be first ever radio penalty, should be maximum time addition (25 secs?) IMO without Rosberg DQ.

I think it should be okay to tell the driver of a fault with the car which the driver obviously wouldn't be able to easily work out.

They should just set a precedent and say it is okay.

They set the precidence of saying its not OK in Baku.

I'm not a Hamilton fan, but it's good to see that level of celebration at the end, good result tbh.
Just a shame he couldn't waste that gearbox/engine, and donut the thing around!

That's because he wasn't told how to fix his car in Baku (Lewis)

So we are talking about hypothetical situations now?

How do you know the stewards wouldn't have let it go and set a precedence there and then?
