What have you done to your car today?

Really not worth the hassle, and the pressure plate has some discolouration due to heat

You were sat outside the offices I work in not the week gone, but the one before for quite some time at Moulton Park ;)

Washed the car and the van in the background, realised the other day when I thought I was lucky to get away with not curbing my allow, I had actually minorly knocked it! So naturally, deciding which colour to go with on the refurb. Also applied my glass sealant from CarPro today, will be interested to see what it's like as have my plastic coating to go on next.

Might get £50 for it... haha

Is it really worth the £50 though? I value my time more than that :o

Whicv bit of Moulton Park?

Was probably when I was trying to get Closed Loop boost control working as it should

'95 Grand Cherokee 5.2 V8.

With the price of fuel over there as high as it is it amazes me that these things are still so popular - that must cost a fortune! I filled up in Courtenay last month and it was 120 cents a litre, which is about what, 70p a litre? Cheap but not megacheap.

Washed for the first time in a couple of months, thanks to the awful weather.

Looks like a totally different car, black alloys don't look good covered in grey brake dust!

Discovered a back end knock today which sounds a bit drop link or top mount related. Unfortunately probably the latter as the links are quite new at the rear and I can see nothing obvious at either side when having a prod about.

A bit annoying given it was all aligned about two months ago.

You were in Courtenay?! Another road trip?

The price rises and falls fairly quickly, I've filled up at 89cents, or 120 cents. I don't do a huge amount of miles, I bike to work and everything is local. Bigger trips to Nanaimo for example only happen every few weeks, so fuel isn't really a regular factor. At most I use a tank a week, which is around $70.

I average 15mpg :D

Yup, did a whole thing around BC and Alberta (inc Vancouver Island for a week). Courtenay was really nice - in-fact all of Vancouver Island was. The BC signs say 'The Best Place on Earth' and it's hard to think of an immediate reason to discount that. I really love it there - only place we've done twice really.

It's even worse in places like Golden. I remember it being expensive from last time but not that expensive. In some places it feels like twice as much as it is in the US.

Found out that a cat now like my roof. Lots of fluff on it and paw prints all over the car. Just gone down stairs and its back sat on it looking content. Went outside and its started to claw at it before it slid down the boot before finally laying on the pavement wanting a belly rub :/

Not the only thing that's likes my roof though, dad told me this morning that two ducks were sat on it.......

A friend had similar issue with his MX5, bought a bottle of pet repellent spray and coated his roof in it, the cat now leaves it all well alone. Will ask him where he got it from :)

Cats also apparently don't like lemon or citrus for a non chemical alternative as I'm not sure whether the roof fabric might react to cat repellent.

Another alternative might be a roof cover.

Or buy a BB gun. They don't like those either.

Replaced the rear silencer on an '03 Celica as in Toyota's wisdom 95% of the rear exhaust is stainless apart from one bend which meets the front part. I've welded patches and clamped a pipe section inside the silencer to keep it gong but it finally snapped clean off at the rear silencer. Easier to buy one from Eurocar parts with a 20% discount code and replace it. Less than a hour to do as well so well worth the £75.00

Guess I could make it lemony fresh. Not going to buy a roof cover that involves far to much effort (and costs me money for someone else pet...).

Swapped my old clarion DRX9255 out for a more modern alpine CDA-137BTi. Connectivity beats ultra high end SQ, though I admit that I can't really hear a difference between the two.

It's a little annoying that I can't switch the sub illumination to green but it doesn't look too bad.

Went to a rolling road meet:

Saw a familiar face, oil leak fixed, clutch kit replaced, new brakes all round, re-painted calipers (original silver), tints removed, engine bay cleaned up, short shift kit fitted. Looked pretty smart. Pulled 187.6HP, rated for 189. Good to see its doing well:

Focus RS was there that someone had mapped, Dyno couldn't get a reading for it cos it kept shifting its power around, they tried locking it in RWD, fording the TC off, removing the TC fuse, and playing with lots of settings, but gave up in the end.

Stock when new the Skoda was supposed to have 90HP, pulled 90.9 and 91.4 today... :)

Gave the rear brakes a service. Plenty of meat in the pads and the discs are fine. Passenger side was a doddle, done in 15 mins. Drivers side was another story :o.

Caliper rubber on the piston has perished. It still works but either a refurb or a new caliper is in order as it was easy to get off but a ***** to get back on. Much swearing ensued. Also need new slider pins both sides, not massive wear but enough to annoy my OCD.
