*** The Division Thread 2.0 ***

What does DPS really measure?

It's an estimation of firepower.

I doubt, even the developers could tell you how they come to the in-game dps figure.

Scrap it and replace it with something more transparent.

RPM divided by 60 x bullet damage = Base dps , would be a simple option

But i guess it wouldn't look as good as 27,000,000 DPS :D

[Changelog] – July 28th – Maintenance
Here are the list of changes to be implemented with the July 28th maintenance.
Fixed a bug where players could initiate 1 Phase Operations in Heroic difficulty by pressing a combination of buttons on their input device.
Rewards from Underground Operation Directives will now also include all gear sets from Updates 1.1 and 1.2.
Rewards from Underground Sealed Caches will now include all weapon types as well as all Underground and Update 1.3 gear sets.
Named NPCs in the Underground now have increased drop rates for High-End gear, across all difficulties.

Brilliant, guess from tomorrow I can do some UG on my alt :)

"Rewards from Underground Sealed Caches will now include all weapon types"

Great, but does that not mean that the inclusion of ALL weapon types into the cache drops will dilute the loot-pool and reduce the likelihood of actually obtaining a gear set item?

This gives us another avenue to now farm for all sets of gear. Our PVE Dark Zone so to speak. well im at 30 so 10 lvls to do now and 2 more alts :D to get up as well
all we need now is HVT loot getting sorted as well or is that asking to much?

Bit more of an incentive to do some more UG at least but feels like a kick in the teeth for those that are already a decent level.

ooo man, baby steps baby steps lol! HVT's will come soon I hope as well

yea we will prob have to do 3 phase Challange or heroic that takes what like 30 mins+. for 2-3+ pieces VS doing <5 minute 4 horsemen farm for 4+ pieces.

No point in doing CM UG as it takes roughly the same amount of time as Heroic, but drops less stuff, and also the quality isn't as good.

Probably the best way is Heroic, 3 phase, with 3 directives being Fog of War, Sickness and waste not want not. The other two slow the whole thing down due to special ammo and not being able to have independent Signature skills and skills.

Heroic UG, 3 phase, will drop between 2-4 gearset items guaranteed, and between 4-7 weapons and HE gear items overall which countering in the time it takes, between 20-30 minutes depending on map layout, is still less than Heroic DN farming for sure!!

Regardless, another place to look for gear, and do something different and hopefully the caches will give some good stuff as well.

I enjoyed the UG between rank 1 and 30 but then after that to 40 it got a bit boring with the same drops so hopefully this change will be interesting and rewarding enough to keep people going till they get rank capped. The vanity items kept me going! lol!!

But they are nerfing the named NPC drops,

'Named NPCs in the Underground now have increased drop rates for High-End gear, across all difficulties'

I read that as less gear set items and more high end, this will make the directives the best source of gear set especially as they now drop 1.1 & 1.2.

So popping in as been really busy at work earning some coppers, if any of the regulars have any spare time and don't mind could you help me with a list of any major changes since this 2.0 thread was opened as not had time to keep up with it all.

Still planning to overhaul the OP on Monday :) and a list would be mega useful for me so i don't need to do as much research as it looks like i may currently need.

That some impressive reading between the lines.

I got pretty bored of the UG once I hit level 20. Kind of doing very similar stuff.....with little reward.
Challenging is no point as it takes too long for very similar XP, so Hard, but you don't get any loot but the XP is quick and easy.

I've received one Sentry, one Striker and one Tac piece from about 15 - 20 runs in the UG over the past few days as boss drops, while levelling from 16-19 ( not sure how many runs really as I'm on auto-pilot as I cycle through them). I thought that was strange as I hadn't received anything other than the usual FC and Blind, even as Boss Drops.

Really scaled back my playing, I'm hinging my future playing this game on the comment that Massive are looking to give some love to solo players. As it is now, UG caches are the only source of 268/229 for a solo player. I don't want to be handed everything on a plate but some realistic way to solo the top tier content would be nice.

Almost stopped completely the other day, when I was 1 shotted by a LMB grenadier, right on the edge of his arc as I was diving away. I'd killed the boss and he was the last one to clean up. 1 shotted with 500k toughness at the final enemy on Hard mode. Complete waste of 20 minutes...

Cheers,

Literally just spent like 3 hours going rogue and hunting rogues. Was epic fun as we were all on alts with low level except rad, but he didn't care lol

Last 30 minutes or so, maybe a bit more was the only time we died a lot but that was because 3 groups at one point decided to hunt us and then camp at a checkpoint. We held our own though and got a good few members of those groups down.

Had some proper fights as well, smart cover, taking cover, not all just the quick few seconds and dead type stuff.

Love it :)

Now that I have thoroughly tested AB, I need to work on getting different talents for my second weapon, and also need a few replacement AB pieces like knees and holster but for the time being, the build is strong enough to have some real fun and survive the DZ.

Only problem is......the NPC's in dz6....... even though they are easy as a group and actually quite easy with AB as me and Momo found out, when you are trying to do PVP and there are NPC's around it is hard to concentrate on player or NPC, as if you try to focus on player - NPC will get you and vice versa so that part ruins the fun a bit.

Not been in the UG for a while, kind of pointless, unless you are leveling up. Already have 1 Alt lvl40, not looking to do another, got 3 others I might take to lvl30, but not further. To much of a slog 30>40.

Been more productive, credit wise, helping others level to 30 in the game.

Gamble, when you finalise your AB build, could you please post it? I'm also using AB. Two variations - One for PVE and one for PVP. I wouldn't mind seeing how they compare.

Also, does anyone know where the **** I can loot some BLIND gloves? It's the very last thing I need to complete my build. Almost two weeks of DZ and hardmode UG and nothing. Drving me mad.
