You have to in some instances.

From the website:
FoCal Standard will NOT allow calibration of lenses or a combination of lens & teleconverter with an effective focal length longer than 400mm. For this, you will require FoCal Pro.

Is it worth getting the Pro version over the others?

mainly purchased for trip to yellowstone, even if i sell it afterwards it will be much cheaper than renting. Sharp at 1/60 hand held at 500mm. Being old-school that is some kind of magic.

Just received a Sony a6300 with a 24mm f/1.8 Zeiss prime today. First decent camera I've had, no real idea what I'm doing with it - any pointers for settings/guides before I get going?

By all accounts the 24mm seems good for street and general photography, but I also want to pick myself up a decent zoom lense for landscape shots when I had to Tuscany in August, any suggestions?

New lens :)

First impressions (albeit in the great light we have this afternoon) is that it's bitingly sharp. Can't see much difference compared with my 50mm f/1.8.

Well happy :)

It really is an amazing lens. Recently got one myself and am amazed/pleased that it really does live up to the hype. Sharpness aside, the contrast is unreal. Noticeably less processing required.

Picked up a copy of this today

Turns out the autofocus for my 24-70 f/2.8 needed a lot of adjustment (-15 at 24mm & -19 at 70mm), would explain a lot (honest guv)

Where about did you pick this up from? I had a look online and on the Focal website the boxed versions were out of stock, it was only the download.

Not a camera or lens. But I'd class it as a useful accessory.
I've just got the Choetech 10400 mAh QC3 power bank.

I'm using it to charge my Sony camera batteries when out shooting.
I've not tried powering the camera when shooting overnight time lapses etc, just charging between moving location.
It doesn't weigh much, so I keep it in my backpack.

couldn't decide so i bought the d500 and my brother bought the d5 :) farne islands trip at weekend

How are you getting on with the D500 and D5 ?

I had every intention of getting a D5 then just didn't have the time to justify it, now I'm getting the urge to get one again but the D500 is getting good reviews.

It's just something to accompany my D810 for wildlife and sports mainly but my mate bought a Canon 1DX to go with his 5D III and now uses the 1DX most of the time now so I'm thinking I may be better off sticking the the FF.

SIGMA BEAST[img] and a nice wallet friendly Sigma 17 - 50 2.8 EX HSM to replace the crap kit lens.
Been hankering after one of these 150-600mm for months now, they look fantastic. What are you attaching both the lenses to? I've got the 17-50 f/2.8 on my D7200 and it's a great lens. Shooting an Uncle's party tomorrow so I can give it a proper whirl.
