Lincolnshire. The worst tap water in the UK. It comes out the tap practically solid. If you exclusively drink tap water in this county, you are a fool.

The key to the safe drinking of water, no matter where you are in the world, is to vary your source of water. Never drink from one source of water. There may be stuff in the water that is not good for you. The water may be lacking something you need. It might be high in a particular mineral, zinc is a common one. Drink too much zinc for 10 years and you'll know about it later in life (or rather you won't because your brain will be mush)

Drink bottled water from a variety of places, including your tap. This is what every animal on the planet does and it is what humans have done throughout evolution.

Yeah but animals don't have water treatment works.

I drink Northumberland's finest tap water. It's tasty, probably didn't pass through 8 people on its way to my glass and doesn't turn the kettle furry.

Tap normally, I buy big bottles for when I am working at a wedding, then drink them if they are left over after the day.

They kind of do, but what has that got to do with anything? I'm not talking about bacteria, I'm talking about minerals. I'm not saying any particular source of water is unsafe to drink, I'm just saying it is definitely wise to drink from a variety of sources. You cannot argue against that.

Try living in London and having the same opinion of the water.

I buy bottled, or filter it.

Nothing wrong with the water in London (well West and Central anyway) to drink. Does leave a nasty stain on teeth though!

It's better than here which is so chlorinated I just can't drink it because of the taste, hence the filter.

Drink from more places? SO you have more chance of getting something contaminated?:p

He's talking about minerals, not bacteria. Something cant be contaminated by minerals, it's enriched. And getting the water from different sources gives you more chances of balanced mineral intake.
