I've 2 teams my BPL is the most entertaining the French teams defence is a bit lacklustre .. Mainly if I take out Zouma. Sturridge is on the bench too excellent player but Lukaku is a beast so may force sale.
Stand out players for me

Eriksen
Zouma/smalling
Walker
Cavani
Cabella

That french team looks quite good. Even the defence. I like the little hybrid thing going on/

Straight up! hahaha, if I had gone to spend that much I would have bough the 12k pack!
Lukaku is an absolute monster, crazy some of the goals I've scored with him. I've not got Cavani I might get him as a sub but he has always been my best player in the past 3 FIFAs.
I've already spent more this year than last, shows how much I disliked 16.
Cavani is worth a shout for sure, I like how pace isn't the bee all and strength/shooting stats plays a very big role.
Want to try a new cb but really like the 2 I've got in my BPL.. Who's better bailly or Luis?

So after speaking to a few guys at work about Fifa and watching a couple of YouTubers mentioning custom tactics , I went googling and found this on Reddit.
Go into custom tactics and choose the below settings , only thing I didn't like was free form so I changed that back. Essentially it makes your defence better and mid's more happy to intercept worked awesomely for me. If you give it go let me know how you get on

Any one got any tips how to improve consistency in ut. i am div 5 when i attack i feel like the other player has his entire team around the pen box really hard to break down and make clear chances shots tend to get blocked and closed down.
On the other side of the coin i often get done on the counter 2-4 passes and the other player is at my goal. I feel like i have to work much harder to create chances.
I think what counts against me is i like slower build up play though the midfield where fifa tends to favor fast counter attacks and wing play.

Surely it depends on the formation whether its successful?

No idea Andy , I copied those minus the free roam in a 4-3-3 (4) and it is considerably better.
To be honest I think its the aggression part of it it which makes the difference, they always seem to pick up the second ball. Worth a go anyway , nothing to lose.

Before the game start go to squads , then team options , custom tactics.
I've won 8 games in a row now , previous best was 2 before that. It might be FIFA being nice to me for a while or as I'm hoping these tactics have answered my prayers

Happy days, what did you feel had changed?
I've changed my settings to those above as well. Only played the one game. I was playing much better and seemed the players wanted the ball more, movement was better and actually felt like I had a few chances. Drew 2-2 due to conceding two goals through being a muppet though. One of which was his 90th minute equalizer that went in off the post!!!!
