What have you done to your car today?

Yeah I think so, had it remapped on the stock 330cc injectors but drove like it was lean... The guy offered to have me take it back and check but I had the cam and 380's ready to drop in before he tweaked it...
Done maybe 100 miles on this setup now and it has driven much better, checked the plugs and did a compression check and it all looks pretty sweet.
140/130/140/130 across the 4 cylinders so seems fine for an angine on 97k

What is the recommended compression for them? Was it done hot or cold? My 21 year old 3SGTE did 150 across all 4 and that is considered average at best. Anything below 130 was below Toyota Specs.

I wish I had the knowhow/patience for that. :p

Do you do this stuff with the car on axle stands, or do you have a more elegant solution?

We've got some stands made of 1"x1" box section and right angle mild steel that stand about 300mm or so tall. Just a case of jacking the car up then dropping it down on them

Ordered a new barge. 2.2L Santa Fe. In super easy to keep clean black. Over 30k and you still have to push them to throw some mats in.

I was looking at some hydraulic ramps on eBay which elevate the front about 375mm but there might be a clearance issue on your car when it comes to driving up them. :p

If I were to get a similarly low car at some point I'd want it to be able to drive up them. ;)

At first I thought -

But then I looked at some interior/exterior pictures...

Korean cars have certainly improved hugely over the last decade!

Brake light wasn't working on Focus. Bulb looked ok but changed it anyway. Still not working. So used sandpaper on the contacts. Works again now. :)

Stopped working again so was over mates.... Got it working, then put the unit back on the car and thought one last check. Stopped working. The only thing I did was move a wire to fit it on. Hmmmm. Broken wire. So I took it back off, worked out way of fitting taking out the link in the wire. And works again now. ;)
