If it had an Apple on it, people wouldn't say it was overpriced and I honestly don't think the public see it as overpriced anyway.
I've ordered one and I hope it will be good to use. It's essentially the iPhone of Android which we've been asking for for years and I am happy to pay the money for that.
It will be a good, quick phone, of that I have no doubt. The problem I have with the price is that it's lacking some key features that its too main rivals either both boast, such as splash resistance, or in the case of the Galaxy S7/E, wireless charging.
That and the terribly inefficient size-to-screen ratio. At least the iPhone has a trademark button at the bottom, and whether you consider that good or bad, at least the chin has functionality.
I've always said I'd be happy to pay more for a stock Android phone if that's what it takes, so I've no problem with the approach or price in that sense, just that for what the phone actually is it's hard to justify the price it comes in at.
We were spoiled by the Nexus range in the last few years, and the 6P for example should have cost more than it did for what it offered, but this barely improves on it, and indeed it loses out in a couple of areas.
Does anyone know if the Xiaomi Mi5s has the same camera as the pixel?
Sadly it will be the software that separates them, as from what we've seen the Pixel's processing, and particularly video stabilisation, is something else. Xiaomi won't be able to match that, irrespective of the sensor, but it should certainly be a solid camera if it uses the same sensor.
