Titanfall 2 - have you seen its multiplatform?

Yeah they patched it late last night, you get a titan much much quicker now.

At least they are listening to the feedback, which I guess was the point of this test.
 
That's good, the balance of in-titan vs out of titan was pretty solid in the first game. When I tried at GC it seemed to be CoD with the occasional titan power up. Glad it's fixed!
 
I felt the balance in the first game was actually pretty good. The mobility of the Pilots was a great foil to the power of the Titans and you didn't feel completely outclassed, but if you made a mistake or got spotted then you could be taken down easily. Some of the comments have been a little worrying about this game. I might have to wait for some PC reviews before buying.
 
Not sure if I like the new point mechanism to get your titan. If yiu suck like me I just end up getting destroyed. Was pretty Laggy last night to. Had no chance when it was jerking about.

It was horrible last night compared to when I played it on Friday. Really struggled to kill people. Plus it seems that snipers are now quite popular and for some reason Respawn have made the hitboxes for snipers massive :mad:

Yes it was bang on in the first one. You were still a nuisance as a pilot and with the right kit and play style potentially lethal for other titans, but you were super-vulnerable. The amount of time you spent on foot vs in titan was just about right, because really, you're buying Titanfall for the mech ass-kicking, not the (admittedly quite good) FPS part.

Yup I found that to. Snipers were all to present in most the games I played last night!
 
I like that they've changed how you earn Titans now. They're much easier to get. I was getting 3-4 a game last night.
 
Downloaded and played this last night. Unfortunately seems more like a high resolution version of titanfall 1 for me. As this is being released at the same time as bf1 I think I will give it a miss till it is on special. They haven't moved it on enough in my opinion and will end up getting very repetitive like the original.
 
Longevity = replayability?

I don't see how the other games offer anything different. The recent gameplay videos on YouTube look great :)

The community for the first game died extremely quickly, it just didn't offer players what they wanted, it didn't have the kill streaks etc of COD and not really much in upgrades etc.

At least the new one has a single player campaign but the release timing on this is a little crazy imo. Whether you think BF and COD are better or worse they have a bigger community and relaxing at a similar time to them is nuts, they would have been better off waiting until march or something like that.

I'm going to get it but I wasn't impressed with the Beta and really just want to see what the single player is like.
 
I believe there's unlocks now with multiplayer. I agree the timing isn't great however it does offer something different.

Going by this forums cod thread, doesn't look like the beta has exactly wow'd people. The bf1 beta didn't do anything for me either.

It doesn't matter, every year people moan and COD and still buy it and a lot of people are buying it for the remaster this year not the new game.
 
Seems Respawn has been listening - since tech test they've added a passive counter that build up until Titanfall.

Cool article showcasing the different Titans. They seem quite varied. I do like the look of Ronin - badass! Plus highlights differences between 1 and 2 and pilot abilities.

Bounty mode does sound quite interesting.

Hopefully they will release some newer gameplay videos with the changes before release.
 
i really enjoy alpha on 2nd weekend, first weekend was lacking titians

i was looking forward to testing this game out on ea access for 10hrs, not going to happen now.

i'm just waiting for reviews on game modes and see what other changes are made since alpha before i order it

Was 80% happy with the game, just need few more changes before i purchased it.
