Your Gaming TV!

Cheers Moogleys, you seem to be impressed with yours. Gonna have to sneak it in :D.

Funny, the display model in Currys had the back peeling off badly. Eager to get it home and see what it's like. Am very thankful for the 5 year warranty!

I intend to buy this too! Any idea how long the offer is on? Cant get down til weekend!

well no more support after december. so good luck with any new apps you want in future.

I have a sony tv too btw, the android has always worked fine but i got mine after they ironed out all the initial bugs.

i only have 1 app on it i use, i wouldn't dream of bloating it up with kodi, etc.

It comes with 8GB of space to install software, why would you not? As far as your "not working after December" comment, utter crap.

Unsure how long it will go on for, but RS and JL have now also price matched the 55KS7000. The fact they've price matched should make the current price more sticky.

Thanks! I think my current one is 47" so thats a nice bump up anyway! Though currently it fits our tv unit perfectly so this probably wont sit on it as the stands look like they sit right at the edge, though tempted to wall mount!

I don't want to slow the UI down any. I have 1 app and that is all I need. The tv is used purely for PS4 and XB1. I have an 4K HDR LG TV in the living room and a panasonic plasma in the bedroom. The sony is in the games room as such doesn't get used for tv use. The 1 app I do have on it was just to test out an IPTV service.

There has been plenty of comments on how kodi, etc lags the OS. Supposedly software updates has fixed or improved this but I don't need any of that stuff. the tv is used as basically a large monitor and nothing else.

So tempted by that 55KS7000

My UE55H6400 isn't even 2 years old and there's nothing wrong with it, but I do want HDR and 4K...

Will I notice much of a difference in gaming (not 4K just picture quality and performance in general)?

Ah damn.. I caved in.

Stoodles I think you need 65" tbh, wait for next years OLEDs or LG to patch this years with HDR Game mode.

It is quite a slim box but my car is an estate, so the box looks deceivingly smaller in the photo.

I'll measure the box for you if you like when I get in.

Thanks mate however found dimensions boxed on currys site, it will fit across the back seats its just whether or not the doors open enough to allow it to be put in at an angle :D

I can always go get the van from work if not. Will be doing a finiance option so think i need proof of address so will need to go home first, probably just wait and go tmo!

No lag, brilliant picture, 65" masterpiece. Android is brilliant, PS4 pad Playstation Now, emulators, being able to watch any boxset or movie and you have the best OS on the market.

That article was someones opinion, a stupid one at that.

Had loads of issues with Samsung ks8000/7000 TV's ranging from dead pixels, light bleed and panels coming away from the frame. Getting a replacement Sony next week I believe the model is the 9305.

Currys said all my local 3 stores have stock so went in and it was dead, no staff. Eventually someone checked for me and came back with none in stock order online and walked off :D i checked again on my phone and was still available to reserve and collect so waited for someone else to double check but no one came so i gave up :D
