Just started playing again recently and I'm just pretty much farming intel and HVT's to get gear'd enough to be able to do wt4.
Are incursions worth doing in public groups or is that asking too much? Farming HVT's was fun, but after 10+ hours its starting to get to me, so I was wanting to change things up a bit.

1. I have 2 pc's here and was wondering if this game is coop all the way through?
2. I only play games with pad and was wondering if this has fully working pad support without messing about?

Oh, nah its a different one as the one I posted was out of date lol didn't realise at the time.
1 - the game can be co-op through its entirety if you want it to be.
2 - one member on here has used an xbox controller for his 1000+ hours in game ao yea, you can definitely plug and play
I've been using an xbox pad since I started playing. Works very well for me. No messing about needed.

The game isn't local co-op if that is what you mean and it's an online only game so bear that in mind.

After starting last Sunday I'm currently lvl 30 with GS156, these proficiency caches I'm getting for levelling I'm presume I may as aswell open them as they wont increase GS as it's already predetermined?
Also is there anywhere for decent builds, want something soloish but will hopefully join in with you guys too.
Also didn't realise you get bonus loot for being a season pass holder, just had it pop up on screen, might save that until a bit higher though.

I'll be on tomorrow if you're about. I just wanted get all the missions done and dusted, must admit they were getting a drag towards the end.

Now time to have fun in DZ and Underground. Trying to save all my money for when 1.5 drops.
Currently at WT2 and 166 which I don't think all of the above is bad since I only started playing last Sunday.

The caches part is correct, just open them and move on
Luckily with the world tier system, any activity except incursions is fine soloable as you can run it on hard until you get the relevant gear to move onto challenge. Or what snips said is also cool, 30 mins in wt4 with a group will get you good gear even just to throw on.
In terms of builds, 3/3 setups are good, as are 3,2,1. For the 3,3 you would want to aim for complimenting gear set bonuses - for example a big one atm is banshee + lonestar which gives, Additional weapon damage plus out of cover damage, or preds, banshee for the same out of cover plus assault rifle and smg damage.
3,2,1 is also cool as it overs utility, gearset, and a modifier. So for example, 3 preds, 2 nomad for health on kill + savage gloves/spec backpack/any HE tbh!!
There are lots of "meta" videos which are good but the good thing about the drop rate is experimentation
you could easily run all high end gear and do everything, or run a full 4 piece gearset like predators/alphabridge(very strong) or even firecrest for the crowd control. The only sort of "meta" thing you do need to pay attention to is armor unfortunately. Its best in slot for chests, knees, backpacks, bolster and gear mods for PVP - which max rolled native plus major will give 60% roughly mitigation.
For PVE, 50%-55% is sufficient meaning one of those gearset pieces could be rolled to skill power or whatever you want giving more flexibility.
It is so easy to spend hours tinkering with builds, checking stats to get the most out of what you have, which you may also find fun like i do lol.
