US: Westworld

uh, and what about the non-virgin host? it took about 12 seconds to do a total 180 about fearing for his job etc to "yeah we'll just do all this and change settings despite knowing people will be able to see what we've done. oh and making them a 20 intelligence seems like a great idea too doesn't it?"
lol, nice stretch. you seem to be forgetting the whole park is monitored so there's no way a guest would be left like that.
nice stretch again, it's just a totally stupid plot point and utterly unrealistic to think he'd remotely be part of the company from that point on.
but yeah, one more episode then i'll leave it to all you intellectual giants.

As I said above, the non-virgin host was motioning with his eyes for him to turn the settings down, and not up. Maybe you missed that.

The part I agree that made no logical sense was how a host that was flagged for decommissioning could be put back into circulation, which the super annoying brunette chick was able to somehow do without any approval.

PS: the hosts are the androids. The guests are the visitors to the park. The employees are something else. It's confusing, I know. :)

They can't wipe her because she doesn't stay wiped... try to keep up.

so make her dumb then ;)

took me 3 evenings to watch last episode.it could be great but some of it is stupid some is great.

so now they made her super intelligent oh that helped :p

you watch bernard will end up being one of them.

Even if they had reduced all of the settings to the lowest possible level (intelligence, for example), it would have eventually been reset to the normal perimeters because as they said, she is being controlled / modified by an as yet unknown third party.

so why higher her intelligence if that is the point ? ;)

they will notice that also.

if you would have reduced it would have given you time to get rid of her or do something.doing the opposite has just made it a worse situation.

i do like the show but some of the story lines are a bit stupid.:p

Raising her intelligence serves as a means to further the self awareness element of the plot. Doing the opposite would not. As much as I'm enjoying this, it does require the suspension of logical thought :D

This isn't a spoiler, so I'm not going to put it in spoiler tags. This is image from previous episodes. A scene where Bernard interviews Dolores.

It's more of a mnemonics excercise. By the time you finish watching episode 7, you will recall this image, this scene from memory and you will know exactly how it connects.

so the Board don't care about the park, or the host's , all they want is the 35 years of data that is held only in the park

could it be that Arnold had found some way to transfer a human mind to a host body and therefore become immortal

"What door?"

But have you seen how it was done? Visually I mean.

Bernard walks in, looks around, the door is not there, Theresa is not looking at that wall...

He turns around, Theresa is now looking at that wall, the door appears...

Uhh... I had chills, this is sublime visual narration. And they tell me two logos or Mining Exchange in front of Saloon turning into Restaurant is just a prop department changing things between pilot and remaining episodes. Come on guys - with so much attention to visual detail like the door scene? Or like the fact we see in ep 2 pre-manufactured torso of the host we later see being pumped with blood in episode 6. Minute details. Love it.

Edit: spoiler tags removed, it's Tuesday.

yeah superb stuff, also reminded me of the reveal in The Sixth Sense where it calls into question everything you have seen before that point.

Edit: Just read that it's been renewed but may not return until 2018

Great episode, I can see this series being torture with unanswered questions waiting for S2. Hopkins is still owning every scene his is in.

Is Arnold actually real (ie a Human who helped Ford create hosts)? The way Ford switched between plural references to singular in his monologue seemed...deliberate.

We'll probably see

Teresa again next week, or at least her robot replacement.

Edit: Just read that it's been renewed but may not return until 2018

Hopefully that just means it's a January start rather than starting the same time of year as this season :/

Meh, the "reveal" was lost on me since I already thought they were all hosts and as soon as he said he couldnt see the door he was confirmed, but I guess I found out that that woman was human. I assume he is building a copy of her to take over. I don't know how Bernard can still work there since he was fired, and the board is against Ford. Maybe Ford will just threaten them and "unfire" Bernard.

When she stated the board was against him.
He laughed.
I assume he knows something she didn't.

Perhaps the board are hosts, or partially hosts. Who knows.
We might find out.

The picture Ford shows Bernard

where he only sees Ford and his father, Arnold is missing...

Could Bernard be the Host version of Arnold?

And the scenes where Bernard is talking to Delores in the room below the cottage (which is in the earlier timeline as there's no equipment in there) is actually Arnold talking to Delores...
