US: Westworld

This is superb.

Bit weird how no one is missing the other girl - she's dissappeared. Presumably didn't then call in sick etc but no real mention of her?

At the start of the episode Bernard asks some guy and he is told that "according to the system she started her leave today".

So, would you guys agree in final part of ep 7 we were looking at the same room where "Bernard" at some point in the distant enough past (distant enough for the room to change to a secret lab and be filled up with body weaving machinery) interviewed Dolores:

Check the position of switches and distribution board on the wall by the stairs, the benches etc. But with one significant structural change (now that the bunker is secret):

Forgive my silliness but why haven't those two techs dobbed Thandie Newton in? I get the fear whilst she's present but what about all of the other times, and before this episode or most of her threats?

getting stupider by the episode, it seems.
why are those techs so blackmailed by the host when they could just turn her off and wipe her? how rubbish are the Army at tying knots? and some guy taking a p*** all over the main floor/hologram device? really?

Crap knots could be deliberate so people can escape.

The hologram thing was ridiculous but the act itself is minimal vs the bigger picture and they probably need him.

But have you seen how it was done? Visually I mean.

Bernard walks in, looks around, the door is not there, Theresa is not looking at that wall...

He turns around, Theresa is now looking at that wall, the door appears...

Uhh... I had chills, this is sublime visual narration. And they tell me two logos or Mining Exchange in front of Saloon turning into Restaurant is just a prop department changing things between pilot and remaining episodes. Come on guys - with so much attention to visual detail like the door scene? Or like the fact we see in ep 2 pre-manufactured torso of the host we later see being pumped with blood in episode 6. Minute details. Love it.

Edit: spoiler tags removed, it's Tuesday.

I missed that, it was dark, so I didn't notice there was a door missing when Bernard walks in. But as soon as he said "what door" the penny dropped... very nicely done!

This show is so good, however this episode has made me want to go back and watch them all again to see what I've missed.

wish I didn't know this show existed for a few years so I could binge on several seasons, assuming there will be more after the second :)

really enjoyed 7th episode

what if all the workers in the park were host's after all why pay humans to do jobs that host's can do for free, what with the park loosing money and all

Just got round to watching Ep 7. Very good. One of the things I rate TV shows on are 'moments', kinda when you go 'oh *** please fully star out swear words. Don't just star one or two of the letters, thanks ***....'.

Breaking Bad was the king of them, with GoT close behind... but that was a great one 'what door?'... The whole scene following that was fantastic.
