Well it looked good on paper and should have been good , however .........

It played like toilet! I've used Muller for about 100 games and he always produced however in this formation I think because of Ronaldo the whole game passed him by.

The temptation was always there to pass to Ronaldo and play too quickly and not let the midfield/RW&LW catch up and overlap which is the false 9's main plus point.

So after 10 games I drew 5 and lost 5 so Ronaldo has been sold :( Back to my love of Messi on the right again but I need a team around him.

I'm out of the office all day tomorrow so does anyone fancy doing team for me in false 9 formation ? Budget is pretty much not an issue so anyone fancy getting their creative head on ?

Edit I've had another go thoughts ?

can you afford Neymar? :p

what are your preferences for LW - that pretty much dictates if/what you hybrid into. Costa / Ribery / Reus means Bundes with Vidal / Sanches / Boateng, Hazard is gonna give you Kante and probably Azpil.

edit: could mix it up with:

Neuer
Vidal - Boateng - Chiellini - Sandro
Khedira
Rakitic - Marchisio
Messi - Suarez - Neymar

Griezmann being as ridiculous as he is I cannot imagine how good Suarez must be. I hated Grizi the first couples times I used him but now I'm in love. Him and POTM Hazard together. :cool:

Griezmann destroyed my team last night:( that and the guy was a country mile better than me!
I got IF Salah as a loan player, i played him out of position at CAM and he netted two decent goals on his first game. Seems really good on the ball and brilliant shot just a bit weak. I'll try him on the right next game and bring candreva into CAM and see how he performs.

Modric - Kante - Pogba
Marcelo - Kos - Smalling - Walker
Butland

I always find with a False 9 you want a big strong lump up top to hold up play.

Also Pogba adds some height into the midfield for those aerial challenges, as well as being creative. If you've got the spare coins I'd make sure I lumped for the IF Kante.

I don't use False 9 much myself, but if I did I'd use something similar to the above!

Edit: Just had a thought, that might not be enough to get Kos on full chem, you can always swap Butland for Cech if that is the case.

Brosinski or something. Not many decent rb's in Bundes. Considering everyone sets them to stay back when attacking all they're good for is defending so no point in investing to much.

Edit: lol. Been away since Thursday and neve refreshed the thread so was responding to Stewy's comment ages ago.
 
Got movember Gustavo, Bellarabi and Henderson in my weekend packs. Not bad really.

Worth hanging on to these and selling after Nov?

Sold Ronaldo now and bought Messi he just didn't suit my game style he's more of counter attack player.

I packed 9 Movember cards all discard value so I think EA must have something planned for them.

I'm hearing rave reviews about Butland too. Going to get him in when Begovic contracts run low. I've currently got 100k sitting but not really sure where to improve my current team. May get IF Walcott as I haven't spotted another decent RW for Prem team.

I've played Jim 3 times, 2-1 to him atm. Decent quality games.

Anyone else think the shield button is ridiculously over powered? Players can do a full 360 in a second. Lots of the better players I've played have mastered it on the edge of the box.

I would offer to give you another game but PSN is down :rolleyes: Maybe at the weekend ? Who else is on PSN who fancies a few games ?
