US: **The Walking Dead Season 7 - Contains Spoilers - No future content to be discussed **

Oh dear.. Huge decrease in viewership in the US. From 17 million in the first episode to less than 11 million for the latest episode.

Not surprised at all.

Is that not because America have their football or some sport season going on for a month or so now?

As IIRC, that is why most other TV shows always take a 4+ week break at this time of year as they don't want the viewers/ratings to be affected.

I think walking dead fans (myself included) are too forgiving of the content or lack of in each season.

This has been going on since season 4 really IMO.

Only a quarter of the episodes in each season seem to be worthwhile. Episode 1, 8, 9 and 16. The rest are a real mix of just average and ok.

Hey...doesn't stop me watching it though.

Agreed. I wouldn't be surprised if after it's all over someone releases a 'Special Edition' which is basically each season condensed down into those few episodes. I don't think you'd miss much tbh.

Sorry if this old news but I was kind of gobsmacked to find Trevor Philips from GTA V in it. Was only half watching it doing some bits on the laptop but I heard the voice and thought, "that sounds like Trevor". Turned to look at the screen and not only did it sound like Trevor, it looked like Trevor and the character even had the same mannerisms as Trevor. Quick check on Wikipedia confirmed the great and good Steven Ogg playing the part of Simon.

Not sure why I haven't noticed before!

I noticed it was him last season. He looks exactly the same as I had Trevor in the game with the moustache :D. He was great in GTAV, so lets hope the writing does him justice in the walking dead!

It's been ok so far, but the first episode was miles ahead of the rest. Just hope they don't have any extra long, extra boring episodes like the one last season with the black dude and his stick. Almost gave up on the show after that as it was so dull.

Anybody know how many more series they have planned? Really feels like they are starting to struggle to keep things interesting now.

I believe its been commissioned for Season 8 at the moment?

The shows producers though are on record saying that they believe they have enough material to go way beyond that.

I am aware of some of the storylines that happen in the comic book, there is a lot of material they could use, but if that should manifest itself into 16 episode seasons is another question altogether.

Season 1 ( my favourite) with its 6 episodes felt just right. They HAD to keep the pace of the season moving to realize the story.

I don't know what it is about the show, but because some of the good episodes are REALLY good, it makes me work my way through the rest of the season to enjoy it. Its like picking through a huge pile of **** because you know there is a diamond or two in there.

Outside of Season 1, the finale of Season 6 and the start of Season 7 have been some of my favourites so far. Episodes 2 to 5 have been VERY forgettable.

They're not far off passing the comics, depending on what happens over the course of series 7. There's things they could use from the comics, but in terms of big arcs they're drawing level.

The pacing for the first half of that episode just felt really off for me. Maybe it's because I don't really care about these peripheral characters. Second half was marginally better. Jesus is cool.

Are the comics still ongoing? Be interesting to see how everything actually ends, obviously its not going to be some miracle cure that restores everyone.
