My insurance on the mt07 is ridiculous, quoted more than my Nuda and street triple combined, must be because it's a 2016 bike.

Mine was ridiculous on the 2015 bike i had as well. I'm about half the price on the street triple I've got now.

The MT07 is very cheap, so probably bought by a lot of new riders that crash it.

Yep, I crashed mine so have probably contributed to your quote, Clov!s. Sorry :p

I haven't insured it yet, they want £594 for the year with 1ncb

Tried calling some of the insurers that aren't on the comparison sites? I'm not sure who though, there must be a few that aren't on those sites. When I called Direct Line for my car, it was practically half the price the insurers on the comparison sites gave me.

You could try reduce the value that you put down for the bike. Changing mine from £10k to £9999 helped back when it was worth that much. I think I put down £9k this year which reduced it further.

Do you know any old people bikers? (not sure if it works with bikes, but I added my parents to my car and got £100+ off )

Ouch :(

I guess also being a new(ish) bike + stored outside isn't helping.

I wouldn't offer so much excess, I've never found it makes enough of a difference to warrant offering so much more.

Not sure what else to suggest really. You could swap your Nuda out on that policy instead and just pay the extra so it doesn't feel like so much money?

Considering how long ago the Nuda went you'd hope that policy is dead and buried.

The Nuda policy runs out on the 2nd of January, I'm not cancelling it because I lose my 1year ncb, they also want £338 to insure the mt07 until then.. I said no chance..

They said they could add the mt07 as a multi bike policy but even that will cost £270 for the last month the insurance policy is active.

Insuring a vehicle you no longer own is very dodgy ground, if someone makes a claim against the new owner be prepared for a whole heap of **** to come your way.
