Just swapped out the original Corsair fans on my AIO's (one on each 980Ti) with some Noctua NF-F12, wish I'd done it earlier, so much quieter and the same temps, maybe even cooler. I think at the next GPU upgrade I'll add them to the water loop though.
Andi.

Better fans help a little, but the real problem is the dense finned aluminum radiator that requires high pressure and very high airlfow rates to cool adequately.

Adding to a custom loop or an AIO like Swiftech or EKWB sell is much better plan.

You probably hear people in Hell want ice water too. But there is no data to back up either claim. :D

The very first EK Predator coolers had some 'O' ring issues, but that was long long ago.

Another option is Alphacool OEM AIOs, but only the ones with copper radiators like be quiet! Silent Loop, Fractal Design Kelvin, etc. The Silent Loop is the best. These Alphacool OEM are not only have copper radiators, but pump moves more coolant than Asetek CLCs, they use real pipe fitting so pipes can be changed/cut to length, and they have fill plug to top up coolant or change it if needed. Nice thing is they are only a few quid more money then Asetek OEM junk.

fan controller sorted.....
or plugged into mobo use fan headers and software to control speed.
fans are fans.

It was this year and they publicly recalled them stating that the problem was far more widespread than they had assumed.

You seem to be grasping at straws.
Reality is a year is long long time in computer industry. ;)

The point is your claim
I heard EKWB AIO's leak a lot.
Andi.
Is a misrepresentation of the facts and the way you presented it is a lie. This is proven by what is said in link you provided. :p

The problem coolers were made, distributed and sold last year. Problem was identified and resolved. No more significant problems that I have seen.

All Revision 1.0 units produced from October 2015 until end of December 2015 are potentially affected by the risk of leakage and in order to prevent any computer component damage, the units need to be replaced.
From your link.

Not a lie I really did hear that.

Sorry but ignorance of the facts does not make your statement any less a lie.

By not reading the content of the link you posted only compounds our ignorance.

I could say I'm sorry for being so blunt, but I'm not. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and believe you did it with good intentions, but that does not change the fact that what you said about leaks is not truthful .. it is nothing but malicious gossip. You are responsible for making making usre what you post is true and accurate. You did not do that and posted a lie. We all make mistakes. Admit the mistake and learn by not doing it again. ;)

I have seen 3 forum members in the past two weeks report leaks on their revision Predator AIOs and one provided pics (fried video card included). So the problem is not resolved even if the percentage of failures/leaks turns out to be less (still remains to be seen) than with original model.
Were these the ones that were recalled and these owners did not get theirs' fixed/ replaced?
I'm not saying there are zero EK Predator leaks. With the thousands sold there are going to be a few leaks. It doesn't matter if they are made by Asetek, Alphacool, Swiftech, etc .or carry the EKWB, Corsair, Fractal Design, etc logo, all will have a few that have problems or leak.

The point here is that EK Predator is one of the better quality AIOs and it is also not a CLC cooler. EKWB Predator is less likely to have problems than many others out there.

Doyll, did you get out of the bed the wrong side of the bed this morning? Not sure I actually posted a link. So my statement is true I did hear that EKWB have had many leak issues.

I don't think I even said which AIO I had swapped the fans on so they could have been EKWB as far as you know your first response was pretty much foot in mouth.

Anyway I suggest you chill a bit, it's not worth getting stressed about, all I wanted to point out here is that Noctua quiet fans are much quieter and therefore better as I've used them.
Andi.

Noctua fans are very good, I changed the small 60mm I think fan in my Thrustmaster T500 wheel and now I cant hear it when it kicks in, the fan I took out was noisy, the blades were thinner and it would drone on and on for ages after I had finished with my wheel, I did drill a few small vent holes as well so that helps getting rid of the warm air, the Noctua blades were a lot wider so must shift more air, I've read a few times that the colour scheme of the Noctua fans put people off using them a bit where they can be seen.

Sorry, it was Danny75 who posted the link about leaks. Like I said, all AIO/CLC have a percentage of failures. EKWB had a major problem in their first production run, but that was the only time it was a significant problem. For almost a year now EK Predator hae been doing very well with few problems .. but Swiftech is still better.

Yes, Noctua are quieter, but they also move much less air so don't cool as well when CPU is pushed.

Sorry for getting excited. I just get tired of people taking whatever they read on internet as truth instead of researching and verifying before re-posting it.

Yes mine are creamish with brown edges, not such a good look in my all white (nearly) PC.
Andi.

No.

I hadn't posted on this thread yet before you had a go at Andi.

It was Cuchulain who posted the link you are referring to. I later posted a link myself.

Sorry, I stand corrected. :o
If I remember correctly, you originally posted about recent leaking without a link, I asked for one and you then edited your post adding the link?
