What a difference a fan makes.

The link you posted is to one leak in a revision 1.1. You said there were 3?

Yes. I've seen three different posters on this forum alone, and linked to one of the posts that I remembered where to find.

I've also seen posts on other forums about revision 1.1 leaks.

Later today I've seen mention elsewhere of a "1.1C" that leaked and the owner's unit was exchanged for a "1.1D". Didn't dig into that much but did find mention of 1.1D by others too, so it would appear EWKB are still/have been revising the Predator more.

I don't know what the revision model changes are. Some companies don't show evolutionary changes in product, some do. It's nice to know when something is changes, even better when they they say what the revision actually is. I can't find any data on what each of the changes is.

So Doyll do you still think I'm a lier?
Andi.
Without supporting data I don't know if you did or did not misrepresent the facts. I can only say based on a quick google search of "EK Predator leaks" I cannot find enough hits to show a significant number of leaks. I only find three hits dated between 13-15 Jan 2016 and today, and one of those appears to be the same 360 linked above.

If you want to prove you did not misrepresent the truth, post supporting data that shows a significant number of EK Predators leaking besides the original release models.

All I said was that I had heard EKWB AIO's leaked a lot given nothing specific there and that I 'had' heard it, I am not a lier. If I defined 'a lot' would that appease you.
Andi.

BTW you can't just add in the early versions people still having leaks up to 1.1C.

Exactly.
"Leaked a lot" is what I take issue with. They do not leak any more or less than other CLCs .. and that is the not 'leaked a lot'. I saw some data somewhere last winter showing the RMA rates of different products including CLCs. CLCs all had a rather high rate of RMA and compared to air coolers it was a huge difference. There were almost no air cooler RMAs, but lots of CLC RMAs. ;) I just tried to find the data, but can't. It is far to easy to see / read a few things off of internet and jump to conclusions based on an extremely limited and biased data base .. and it is extemely hard to find accurate data of a large enough group to get an idea of how accurate/inaccurate it is. In this case EK Predator leaks/failures/RMAs versus other CLCs.

Noctua certainly know how to make a good fan, i was very impressed with the one i bought, a little pricey though. If i replaced all my fans with noctuas it would cost me more than upgrading my GPU probably :)

Doyll, you really can't call me a liar for what I said, it wasn't untrue, EKWB AIO have had 'lots' of leaks reported, they recalled ALL their 1.0 versions and have had leaks reported on version 1.1 up to variant C. They may be better than other manufacturers but I am not a liar.
Andi.

Okay, you are not a liar. You are simply misrepresenting the truth. :p

And you continue to do so with your above post. While their 1.0 versions had leaks it was still a much much lower percentage the you now claim saying 'ALL their 1.0 versions'. So you are still pushing wild stories .. very close to what many people would call lies.

How about I just call you a gossiping kind of guy .. passing on whatever you hear without verifying if it is true or not. :p

He's chatting on a forum, not representing him self in a court of law. You sound like a you're just trying to start an argument for the sake of it. For all he knows the people he heard getting leaks were idiots who were swinging their predators around by the CPU block before installing them and then complaining they were leaking, it doesnt mean he didnt hear it.

Found the second in a search:

https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18760559

Poster mentions buying/using it 3 weeks from post date, then later states he thought the new revision had fixed the problem, so presumably has/had a type of 1.1.

He said they recalled all their 1.0 models, not that all of them leaked. You're misquoting/misrepresenting, which is what you're accusing him of.

You quoted the same thing from EWKB, earlier:

All Revision 1.0 units produced from October 2015 until end of December 2015 are potentially affected by the risk of leakage and in order to prevent any computer component damage, the units need to be replaced.

Agreed.

Are you trying to say what we say in a court of law needs to be more truthful than what we publically tell others face to face, on the phone or on the internet?

Truthful statements are just as important here as in a court of law or anywhere else!

Guess you never heard of

lie by omission = Also known as a continuing misrepresentation, a lie by omission occurs when an important fact is left out in order to foster a misconception. Lying by omission includes failures to correct pre-existing misconceptions.
It is still a misrepresentation of the facts even if unintentional.
I was willing to give you the benefit of the doubt in your first statement.

But you are still continuing the misrepresentation of the facts[/U:
EKWB AIO have had 'lots' of leaks reported, they recalled ALL their 1.0 versions and have had leaks reported on version 1.1 up to variant C.
You claim "'lots' of leaks" but omit that almost all of those leaks were in first production run. You go on claiming this same 'lots' "up to varient C",l omitting how many hundreds or thousands of them that have not leaked. All goes to create the misconception that that EK Predator have leak problem of much greater magnitude than it actually is. With no supporting data to show the numbers that leaked versus the total number that did not you are only piling more and more evidence of what I am trying to explain is the problem in your posts aobut the EK leaks.

As someone said earlier it's not a court of law here, just a friendly chat. You can spout as much as you like I had heard the EKWB AIO suffered lots of leaks, prove they didn't! I'm innocent pal.
Andi.

As already said earlier, ommission of facts changes context of statement for true to false.

Sure, facts are facts and can easily be used to mislead, especially when only a small amount are presented. ;)

Now you are just clutching at verbage, can't you get a real life view?
Andi.

Can't have a 'real life view' with only 'lots of leaks' and no data or number showing how many 'leaks' there are and now many Predators in use.

Kinda like trying to have a real world look of 'lots of stuff.' :p
