It's snowing

rookie error, should have parked on the inside :p

Cant really....everyone parks on this side of the road because the houses are all on the outside of the curve of the green. If I parked on the inside, I'd look a bit of a plum, and then someone would probably hit me while slaloming between me and any other cars :p

So i'm driving home on the motorway and it's snowing quite heavy, you'd expect people to be more cautious, right?

Anyways in the middle lane doing 60 as per the speed warning, and a guy speeds up behind me, within few feet and just keeps on horning and flashing me. I can't exactly move over to the first lane as there is traffic there as it's leading to a slip road off the motorway/junction. Took no notice of this looney behind me and all of a sudden he pulls over to the third lane and starts what I can only perceive as foul mouthing and giving me the finger. I gave him a smile and a thumbs up, he sped up considerably and cut me off few meters ahead, causing me to slam my brakes. He still seems quite agitated and attempts to pull off the motorway and cut the traffic queue building up to leave the junction.

Yep you guessed it, he misses the turn and drives straight into the barrier causing a crash.

Couldn't help but smirk as I drove passed the ******, karma is a bitch!

HOnestly phone up the police, non emergency, tell them where the crash was and tell them what happened. For one thing that guy could have caused a major accident hurting other people and he's driving unsafe. Without anyone to say otherwise he'll say the snow caused it and insurance will probably pay out. That is the kind of driving that causes deaths. If he's too stupid to drive slower in dangerous conditions and causes a crash he sure as hell should be held responsible.

Just moved to outside Hastings so first in the new place snow. It's in a village though so all but pitch black out side. Didn't even notice it had started snowing till I went to take the bins out for tomorrow and got a face full of snow.

Wish I'd had a chance to get some outside lights installed so I could just sit and watch the snow for a bit. Hope to hell it stays till the morning so I can see it in the light. Does seem to be settling on the road and garden pretty well though so I have high hopes.

Great drive home.

Plenty of idiots panicking.

Towed the local builders transit up our hill. Now looks like a car park at the bottom. Not towing anyone else's as they wouldn't know where there tow eye or screw in thingy is.

Ah, I also had no idea what the picture was supposed to be showing.

Snow's unfortunately melting. Still snowing but not as hard and the snow in the road has turned to slush :(

hopefully there is some harder/longer snow overnight and I get to see it in the morning. I knew it was going to be way darker in a village but I'm still a little surprised how dark it is at night and hadn't even thought about not being able to see snow at night (which I love and so rarely get to see). Oh well.

Got a covering here, not much but it was cold enough all day that the snow is still on the pavements when I got home 20 minutes ago. More snow forecast from 2-5 am night so it will be interesting tomorrow as its another freezing day.

All I can say is TF for a heated front window on the car in the morning :D

total non event Just north of Southampton - had 20 minutes of sleet around 6:00, the BBC weather page was showing heavy snow between 17:00 and 20:00 yet not a thing lol. Well played MET office, as accurate as always.

So I guess schools will be shut tomorrow because of snow 100 miles away from where they are.

We had flurry earlier but it's stopped - temp is down to 2C

No snow at all here in Skeggy but had a text saying schools closed tomorrow.
Mind you we are on a red flood warning for a tidal surge. You lot think a bit of snow is a problem?

Same here :( sleet and maybe a dozen snow flakes around 5-6pm and that was it.

Rained all this morning really cold rain... suddenly cold enough to snow, nothing falls from the sky. Any other day in Manchester there would be plenty of stuff falling.

Manchester is so poor for snow :o
