*** Nintendo Switch ***

I think the bubble Nintendo is in that they are trying to find the next "gimmick" following form the success they had from the original Wii, which was a one off, look what that did to the WiiU, and now after that they bring this out, which will be seen as a handheld and not much more.

lol...are you going to post anything non-argumentative today? :p

It was just an observation. I wasn't expecting them to be as thin as that.

Also in the video it showed them inserting a 256gb Micro SD card into the machine.

Hah, sorry, it just came across as if every little thing is ZOOMMMMGGGGG LOOK AT XXXXX everything is amazing. :D

They chasing that lightning in a bottle for sure.

Nintendo would clean house if they had a console that could run all the 3rd party games and their own exclusives. Some people seem to think you have to have one or the other. You would only need the Nintendo if it ran both.

I wonder what's different about Ultra street fighter 2, I used to spend a fortune on that arcade as a kid. Until I got it on SNES anyway.

Same here, sf2 then champ edition then you had all those wonky "black belt" editions where you could jump and throw fireballs or hit the start button to change character. :D

£59.99 for Zelda!

My Amazon.fr pre-order is for 58.33 EUR :p

What an utter load of tripe.

They could easily go balls out on spec and garner the praise and acclaim that goes with that

No they couldn't, do you want Nintendo to go the way of Sega?

What benefit is it to us to have yet another box like the PS4 or Xbox One?

I've just been told they're similar to the 3DS/DS Cartridges. But I've never owned or played either. So I wouldn't know :p

Yup, people keep saying, this will sell because people love Nintendo IP, then the turn around and say, what do Nintendo have to offer if they try and compete with Sony and MS with a high power console... they seem to do this without realising how dumb it is.

With AMD semi customs it's literally easier than it has ever been to make a competitive console that the other guys can't completely blow out of the water and that third party devs will absolutely happily support, mostly because it would need extremely little work to get support for them.

Also with the AMD semi customs the cost for developing the hardware is easily magnitude lower than it used to be, it's so cheap to do it almost eliminates the risk as well which is what makes it so dumb. They should have just made a Scorpio clone stupidly easily, made a ARM based handheld only and had some software to get them working together in various ways on some titles. They could add a single game that works on both platforms because Mario and stuff wouldn't need the kind of power that say Scorpio has, so have Mario play on the home console and if you want to walk away press a button and sync to the handheld and continue playing.

They could have done so many things and pretty cheaply and instead they developed another gimmick and attached it to a console that sucks as a power/home console and isn't very good as a handheld either.
