Yeah I thought it was in the bag for DeGale since he had a great second wind in rounds 10 and 11. Coming into round 12 however, perhaps a bit over confident as though he assumed he'd won but then got knocked down by Badou Jack. Shame really. And then they're both arguing who really won even though it was a majority draw. And then of course Floyd Mayweather enters into the ring sticking up for his boy Jack.

The fight just before was also good and again Mayweather's boy Gervonta Davis got the knockout.

According to the stats Jack landed more shots. I also think DeGale gets hit too often, his face was a mess! I think a draw was probably fair.

I hope (and expect) that Callum Smith beats him!

Agree with this, he has a tendency to get sucked in to a brawl sometimes which is a shame with how well he moves around the ring, Badou was doing a nice job of cutting the ring off though at times.

To be fair to DeGale, his skin seems to bruise easier than most but yea, he did take too many shots last night.

As for Smith, who are you saying he beats? DeGale or Jack? It's Jack that he's due to fight now however all the talk post fight from Mayweather and Jack is that he's finished at Super Middleweight. From what was said last night Smith will fight Anthony Dirrell for the WBC title if Jack does vacate.

Obviously there's a chance DeGale could voluntary defend his title against Smith but I'd be surprised. It would be a big risk for DeGale to fight him in a voluntary in what would be not the biggest selling fight. As I heard somebody say last night, it would make more sense for DeGale to hope Smith beats Dirrell and/or Groves wins his title fight and then have a unification fight with either of those.

Ah, for some reason I thought his next fight was DeGale, probably because I thought DeGale would win the fight against Jack.

Agreed that DeGale does get marked up easily. He lacks that little bit of finesse and doesn't really use his guard as much as he should, which I understand is part of his awkward style, but it does leave him open, as we found out with that late knock down.

I honestly think Smith has the potential to be quite a bit better than DeGale (if he's not already), especially as a boxer rather than a fighter. I think DeGale could have put Jack away if he'd been a bit smarter. I guess we won't see the difference if Jack is moving up :( he looked pretty big, to be fair. Smith would land some cleaner punches and absorb more in his guard....possibly lose less teeth than DeGale too!

Had it on briefly. Noticed ITV have slashed the Eubank PPV fee. Initially Eubank Senior was talking about it being £20, ITV then announced it at £13.99(?) and now it's £10. Even that's £9.99 too much.

Two 0-0 fighters pay per view :p

Warrens seen Hearn trying it with Katie Taylor (and UFC with Rousey) and wants a piece of the action himself.

Personally don't think there is nearly the level of interest womens boxing (ask a million people and see how many can name 1 single womens boxing world champion bet you none can!) and it'll fizzle out but we will see.

As she says pros can now compete in the Olympics so it's not the end of the world giving it a go earn a few quid then go back in time for Tokyo.

well, I'm interested in women's boxing. Certainly more interested in it than men's boxing below about Featherweight.

Would be great for boxing to have its own Ronda Rousey. Even if they were to wind up being found out in the same way.
