What did you do to your bike today?

Cleaned it. Very easy after the pre-winter ACF50 treatment.

Sorry buddy, not sure how I missed this. I'll be honest, they were some I had leftover in a 'tat' box in the garage. They were pretty identical to: http://ebay.eu/2j5DoMa

As I said though, I only had 4 bulb slots for the main dash lighting. All of which were T10 size :)

They came through yesterday but comparing them to the original bulb they are going to be far too big. Worth a punt as it was only a few quid

Back to the drawing board

my SV650S (K9) has been in the garage since October (started new Job which needs a car)

have ordered some service parts to get it ready for this season:

HEL Brake Race Brake Lines (Front and Back)
EBC HH Pads front and back
4x NGK Spark Plugs
Caliper Seals front and Back + RRG
Castrol Brake Fluid

should keep me busy most evenings for the next week :)

For all those 4 cylinders :p

I am however, going to see if I can move the reg/rec out of the tail fairing later I got a bigger one and it seems to touch the fairings!!

Found a post in the CBR forums that links to a US site for the LEDS. The postage has cost more than the LEDs but they appear to be straight replacements so I'm happy to take the hit in this case just to get it done and out of the way

took front and rear brakes off last night and calipers seem fine but the pistons are not in the best shape, even after a polish, have ordered a new set, rather do a proper job then have to come back to it at a later date

Been Prepping the 37 year old Beamish Suzuki, gearbox oil change and a check over, so she is good to go for tomorrow's classic trial at burrycliffe quarry up the peak district .
It's only my second ever trial so starting to feel nervous now lol

Safe to say the old sprocket was well past it.

Also I hate riveting chains, such a pain the backside trying to eyeball if you've flared it enough.

Had a go at replacing the clutch master cylinder but not having any success. If I loosen the bleed screw at the slave, not a lot of fluid comes out when I pump it, trying the syringe reverse bleed method doesn't seem to work, I can't push fluid into the slave through to the top at all, which I could with the old one.

Took the bike out to the shops today and the rear brake is nearing useless whereas it was pretty spot on before I done the work yesterday. Thought I'd wiped the disc down to get any grease off but it looks like I may have missed some which is now over my pads :o

Oh well, there wasn't a massive amount of life left in them anyway so I'll get a new set in the next few weeks.

Picked it up and got insurance on it. :D

More expensive than I wanted but £450 total monthly paid (no money for 1 payment). Includes legal protection, breakdown, and personal accident on a CBR 600 with 0 no claims. :)

Nice :) My dad has a CBR600 and it's a great bike. Any pictures?

Welcome to the CBR club! May there be many more

It was fairly cheap as they seem to fetch between £1500-£2500. I paid nowhere near this so I don't mind having to tidy it up. I've built enough CBRs in my time racing and as road bikes. :) It had no MOT but tbh I bought it on impulse without really looking lol.
Needs fairing bolts as missing a few.
New grips.
Oil and filter change.
Chain possibly.
Throttle return cable - not returning but going to spray some oil down the tube and see if that free it off or it will be take the tank off and change the cable.
Levers - it has little ones on it.
Possibly forks need rebuilding as seem stiff. But may just be because it's been stood for 6months.
Downpipes as mate has had look over it and says they're done. I'll confirm that next weekend when I work on it as it's in his garage currently. However if they are not leaking which I don't think they are because I can't hear it blowing i'll just soak the bolts in oil ready.

what year is that?

I've got a set of folding adjustable (sliging so shorty to full length and anything in between) dogleg style levers for a cbr f4i 01. black and gunmetal grey

never got fitted to the bike (got hit by a car before they arrived)

had them sat arounbd for years need to shift them.

Had a great ride out Sunday morning, all along the Suffolk coast. Roads were good towards the end but first thing they were terrible - mud and rotting leaves everywhere still. The bike was in a right state by the time I returned and I had to wash it again. Twice in a week is a record for me!
