Who here owns a Fiesta ST?

Looks good, like the RS like bottom grille/foglight surrounds. Not so sure about the wheels but it's not a great picture to show them off.

I'm sure the Fiesta ST forum will hate it, despite it being fairly similar to the MK7.

It's the FSTOC cycle of new model acceptance.

I hate it, looks rubbish
*old gen* values will go up my car is more valuable cos it's a classic init
*old gen* values go down and down
Start getting new gen on lease and love it
Actually this is the best thing ever

and repeat.

Yeah, happened when the Mk7 was first unveiled. All Mk6 ST owners hated it, myself included. But then the facelift came to fruition and I think it looks better.

I don't mind the new one if it looks like that. Just not as aggressive as I'd like personally.

Found a pic of the rear.

Even if it did look a little like the Corsa (which it wont), it'll still be a much better car overall than the VXR... Ford are streets ahead of Vauxhall on cars ATM... There's a reason why Vauxhalls are cheaper than their Ford equivalents...

Cheaper in feel or price as the Corsa VXR starts at more money than the current ST. I'm sure this will shift closer to 20k with the new one however.

3 cylinder confirmed.

That 1.5-litre turbo is an all-aluminium three-cylinder lump, the first time a Ford Performance car has had just three pistons. It's rated at 200hp and 214lb ft (there's no mention of overboost just yet), sufficient for a 6.7-second 0-62mph sprint. More interestingly though, this engine will have cylinder deactivation. Yep, cylinder deactivation on a three-cylinder engine. When full performance isn't needed, fuel delivery and valve operation is closed and it runs on two cylinders. The process takes just 14 milliseconds to both close off a cylinder and bring the engine back to three, contributing to projected CO2 emissions of 114g/km.

Wow that looks so much like a Corsa VXR from the back and side.
It doesn't exactly set the pulse rating saying you own a 3 cylinder 1.5 litre Fiesta either :( but hey that's the way it's going now. Can't help feel they could have gave it more power also. 0.2 seconds quicker than the old model is probably not noticeable.
I'm still not convinced about the durability of these small engines either especially given how owners like to mod them a lot.
I've heard of loads of turbo and engine failures from the 1.0 ecoboost on the Focus and Fiesta.
I also feel that Ford have really dropped the ball with the new Fiesta doing away with the popular cheap trim options "studio and Edge" and having the Zetec as the cheapest option which raises the price up and will have buyers flocking to the cheaper Corsa imo.
And a Fiesta Vignale! Who the hell is going to buy that!
